If you saw the pics or videos, you saw what looked like a wall mountable acrylic display case Mattel was using at their SDCC booth. It had individual cubes for each figure to sit in. Do they or RSC make these or does anyone know where we can buy them? I'm looking for one that holds 40-50 figures.

I loved that display as well. I looked into it and individual acrylic cases would cost way to much. So then I went to Lowe's and looked at sheets of acrylic to try and build one myself. I think it'll cost around $68 for their biggest sheet and after doing the math it will only hold 16 figures after it's all made and put together. So if you want to fit 40 figs you'll need 3 sheets of those plus cutting and attaching tools/supplies. I think individual cases cost around $20-30 each. Hope that helped.

I've seen something like that, but fits smaller figures, like the Star Wars Hasbro figures. With all the research I've done trying to find something like that, I decided I'll just get a big glass bookshelf one day to put them behind glass. That way, you also only have to worry about cleaning a few pieces of glass instead of a lot more pieces of acrylic.

Honestly, it's a great case but the mirrors have GOT to go.

Mattel probably went through an acrylic company that customizes in making stuff like that. You can have them made yourself but it's probably a nice penny

It's always tough seeing all of the great acrylic displays at these toy events. The stuff on the market is pricey and doesn't really fit the needs of a large audience. I'm still waiting for someone to mass produce clear acrylic step risers that fit the width of an IKEA Billy.

Hopefully with adult toy collecting going mainstream with those Pop Vinyl things we will start seeing more solutions for figure/toy collectors in general.

Sorry jcz15, no pics because I haven't made it yet. It's not off the table completely but at the moment I just have too many projects that's taking up my extra money. Hopefully I can get it done in the future.

I have acrylic risers for my Funko POP collection A regular sized Billy has a display space of just under 30". The total width is 31.5". I'm actually surprised that IKEA hasn't come up with something, because they definitely market the Billy as being for more than just books. I have a few 3-step risers that are 18" wide x 3.5" tall, but they're no longer available. It would just be nice to have something that fills out the space but at a cost that doesn't break the bank. I gotta lotta Billy cases.
