I mean, I guess I feel a little better after his agent's most recent update. I would assume/hope that having colon surgery rather than emergency heart surgery is less serious. Any time you hear a 70-year-old having emergency heart surgery, you fear the worst.

Newest report is saying he's on kidney dialysis I just read that, too. Apparently, the colon surgery was to clear a blockage that was affecting his kidneys, and right now he's in critical condition.

Damn hope he pulls through, I've always wondered how Ric maintained good health all these years compared to the rest of guys he used to work with.

I hope he'll be ok. Truthfully I'm amazed he's still alive given how long and hard he went

His fiancee posted an update stating he had multiple organ failures. And the surgery was not colon related. So, we're still somewhat in the dark, but i will say the tone of her update was rather ominous. Hopefully he will show signs of progress soon. He's still in critical condition.
Correction: The direct quote was "multiple organ problems" not multiple organ failures. Not necessarily any difference since we know so little, but i don't want to misquote anyone.

Not sure if what I just heard was from before or after you read and given how fast medical things can change I'm not super sure what the situation is. Anyway, I just heard he's still in critical condition but they are optimistic he'll pull through. Having said that, when my grandfather passed a few years ago he was in a medically induced coma. The doctors said he had improved enough to go home. They brought him out of the coma and were going to keep him a few more days to recover from that. A couple days later he died after developing a random blood clot from being in bed for a month.

I don't like how little information they are giving us. The 1st night I heard he was in a coma I nearly pulled an all nighter just waiting for some kind of update. I think Ric will pull through and be stylin and profilin before we know it.

Its a very similar situation as my father in law went thru after successfully recoveting from triple by pass surgery, only to have an undetected infection claim his life two weels later. I believe they are probably erring on the side of caution by not revealing too many hopeful details on his condition. He may very well be improving but they may not want to publicly "jinx" it so to speak. I don't blame them. I recall when Carrie Fisher had her heart attack, after the initial day or so, there seemed to be sentiment that she would be ok. Then, that didn't happen.

Just can't believe how within 24 hours it went from routine monitoring to near death. I can't imagine what I would do if Ric Flair passes away, by far one of the most entertaining men in wrestling history. Why is it all these deaths come out of no where (warrior, piper, dusty)?

To us they're out of no where. We don't know how these guys are feeling leading up to their deaths. We only know the info that was made public. Piper was a cancer survivor and lived a rough life, Flair has lived a rough life, Warrior abused steroids and was super intense. I remember Dusty's death resulting from a fall but I don't remember if he had tripped or fainted. But he could have been quietly sick for a while.
