This company. Since when do refs need to check if people can go before someone can cash in? Stupid When it's convenient. I remember them saying a couple times that the champion had to just at least make it to their feet, and then they'd ring the bell. That's the idea I like most. Champion is still wrecked, but typically to ring the bell to start a match, both guys have to be standing in the ring anyways

Just an observation, why didnt WWE pull this off 2-3 weeks ago? You could have had same exact scenario, Corbin costs Cena the match so Cena cost Corbin the briefcase. Then you build a few weeks of Corbin attacking Cena because he cost him the briefcase. You know, you actually put some backstory on why Corbin is fighting Cena at Summer Slam.
Tf would you cash in a week before Summer Slam?

Corbin losing just tickled my fancy the right way. Never been a fan of him.

Overall I liked Smackdown this week. Like most weeks I enjoyed it more than Raw. I don't have a problem with Corbin cashing in and not winning. It's not the first time someone cashed in and failed. If Jinder Mahal retains this Sunday I have a feeling he is going to be champion for the rest of the year. It's so crazy how up until late April he was a jobber and since late May he's been wwe champion. Not for nothing he is believable.

I flipped him off at a house show in Philly and he gave me a dirty look. I guess it's because I'm a guy. With girls he just smiles at it. Understandable.

Wasn't Road Dogg doing the booking when everyone was raving about SD a few months ago? Or was there a change I'm unaware of? Nah. Ryan Ward was in charge of Smackdown from the start of the draft to sometime in mid-Januaryish (we never really got an exact timeline.) At that point, Brian James took over. You can pretty much draw a direct correlation between the quality of the show tanking and James taking over as head writer. Coincidentally, Raw has improved pretty dramatically since that time too. Granted, Ryan Ward likely has far less influence on Raw than he did Smackdown (with Vince being present every week for Raw and all), but he seems to have put his stamp on that show in a good way.

If Corbin gets a clean win over Cena this Sunday and gets a monster heel push out of this then it will be ok. I hope that happens.

As much as I like Shinsuke Nakamura, I'm not ready for Jinder Mahal to lose the WWE Championship.

I'm a huge fan of Nakamura but he isn't ready for the world title.

Well...that was certainly a show.
Nothing riveting before Summerslam for the blue brand IMO unfortunately...and a bloody shame Gable suffered what he did.
At least Orton nailed a sweet RKO out of it.

I'm of the camp that they haven't done enough with Nakamura (nor has he connected with the audience enough) to warrant putting the title on him under normal circumstances, but when the alternative is Jinder Mahal, Nakamura becomes the easy choice.
With that being said, given that the India tour is coming up, I suspect Mahal will retain and continue being a dumpster fire.

If Vince hasn't given up on the Whole Roman experiment, he's damn sure not gonna give up on Roids Mcgee Mahal.
