Haha! This does bring back memories! Me and a friend would hold Rumbles and every now and then, our favourite wrestler (you'll never guess mine), would catch a clothesline or be caught from behind accidently and go over the top rope. The looks we'd then give each other when we realised they had been eliminated! I'm gonna start by guessing repo man? Haha Not far off! It was always between Honky Tonk Man, IRS and Skinner! Haha!

We used a piece of electric tape sticky side up with a quarter in the middle and pennies on the sides for a belt. Wow,never thought of using coins! Very creative.

I vividly remember holding a giant royal rumble and g tying down to slaughter and hogan and accidentally dropping hogan out and ruining my whole years worth of booking haha. Slaughter 2nd title run was not on the cards at that time! Haha! This does bring back memories! Me and a friend would hold Rumbles and every now and then, our favourite wrestler (you'll never guess mine), would catch a clothesline or be caught from behind accidently and go over the top rope. The looks we'd then give each other when we realised they had been eliminated! Rumbles were always my favorite matches to do,always had a few accidental eliminations,I was building up to my wrestlemania and was going to have Jake the snake Roberts(one of my favorite wrestlers at the time) go up against my champion, unfortunately he flipped over the ropes and got eliminated early. so I think I just had Hogan win instead.

I used to use the old ghostbusters hq as the entrance way and backstage area, had some quality brawls!
With rumbles did anyone else used to write out the numbers 1 to 30 on paper, screw them up then do the random drawing that way out of the pile? It was effort but worth it!

I'm gonna find out you were a friend of mine now! Haha! That brought back such memories as soon as I read that post. I had forgotten about the numbers on paper!

I was the same with the bigger names. I used to like the guy who came in first lasting right until the final few as well, like HBK in 1995!

You guys are bringing back more memories for me I had the Ghostbusters fire station as well - I'm sure I used that for brawls when I first started getting figures but didn't yet have a ring. I also had a Batcave playset, which round one side had a jail where the bars would drop down at the press of a button, so the Big Boss Man had plenty of Jailhouse matches - mostly against The Mountie and Nailz. I also used cars like Echo-1, the BatMobile and this yellow beetle from Ghostbusters for backlot brawls well before the Attitude Era made them cool I never used numbers to draw Royal Rumbles - most of the Rumbles I did were booked so I would keep some key guys separate from the main group, and have the main group behind me so I could randomly draw guys until the time was right to introduce one of the key guys. I had to be quick grabbing the figures though, since if I left it a second or two too long then I'd likely be able to identify who it was by touch and risk changing my mind

I had Hogan drop the belt to Rick Rude and then Jake and him had a match at Summerslam I think. it's been many years so my memory is a little blurred haha.

Had Jake win the belt then had him drop it a few months later, not sure to who...need to think back a little,my title reigns never lasted very long haha.

Ted Dibiase bought the WWF, so it was him and his stable trying to control the belts.
Warlord, Smash & Brian Knobbs had huge singles pushes. Knobbs was a mick foley style hardcore bump machine, he could take huge punishment but keep getting up. Don't know where that came from.
Papa Shango would use mind control on certain guys and had himself a following. But he couldn't control the headshrinkers, because everybody in wrestling knows the Samoan skull was thicker than anyone else's. So when the headshrinkers would hit them with a headbutt off the top rope, it would break them out of Shango's spell.

Awsome stuff everyone! I use to do the thirty names written down and pulled from a tub or something for the rumble too!
I don't remember much about booking, but I don't think I ever got too creative and strayed much from what made sense in the WWF world.
But would definatly book matches ahead of time and actually take my different fan club theme music tapes, and copy to a mix tape to put the entrance themes in order in which the guys would come out, and then the guy that was booked to win's music again and then have the tape ready to go for the show just doing start/stop as needed.
I also used novelty strobe light, police light, and traffic light from Spencers to enhance certain guys entrances, mostly the top card guys during the new gen period like Luger, Yoks, Bret, Razor, Shawn etc.
At one point I had constructed an entire locker room area from cardboard with individual rooms for each guy or tag team with a curtain for entry out to the areana.
Also had drilled holes into one ring so I could use the red WCW cage for cage matches, and had a hole cut out under the announce table so guys like extra Doinks could sneak in and out of the ring.
And by the time I was done collecting as a kid, I had 3 rings total so I could do WW3 battle royals.

The first real music I used for the figures was this white tape which I think I got for joining the WWF fan club. The first tune on it was the Lex Lugar "I'll Be Your Hero" song rather than his actual 'Made in the USA' theme, so I had to use that for him - the pacing didn't work at all as a theme song, but given I was already using the immediately out-of-date Hasbro figure for that US gimmick, I suppose it was appropriate to have the wrong song as well It wasn't until the CDs started coming out that I had proper music and a decent selection to choose from. The dawn of mp3's finally gave a wide range of TV-recorded themes, which was a real leap forward. By the time I gave-in to pressure from my parents that it was time to "grow-up", the Titan Tron videos were starting to appear for downloads here and there (no YouTube at that stage) and I was planning a way to replace the Titan Tron screen on my stage (which just held printed A4's of names, logos and screen-grabs) with an old laptop screen, and I was even thinking about if I could get a small camera rigged-up to broadcast the in-ring action onto the laptop. That would be easy to do now probably, but if I had continued on and put that plan into action then it would've been beyond awesome. It's actually incredible to think about how far technology progressed in those 5 years or so from the time I had that white tape. I always regret not making my GCSE Electronics coursework project being an attempt to rig-up my existing stage somehow - either like that with the laptop and camera, or more likely with at least working lights or something - I guarantee it would've been a far more passionate project than whatever I ended-up doing

This is one of my favourite threads I've seen on here. I kept a list on the back of my door for the WWF champion, Intercontinental champion and tag team champions, so I could keep track of the title changes. I don't think I ever created events and PPV's etc, I just had matches. I used to play royal rumbles all the time though, but they'd always be for the title as '92 was the first one I watched after becoming a huge wrestling fan and always thought that's how they were supposed to be. I always used Earthquake in the spot that Yokozuna was involved in ('93 I think) where everyone else tried to eliminate him but couldn't (I didn't know then that Earthquake was actually involved in a similar spot years earlier) I kept all the figures behind my back so I would pick them at random. I also held tag team royal rumbles where the winners would be tag champs, but they still entered seperatley. Those rumbles were always short as I only considered the two packs as tag teams and I didn't have Demolition so only 4 teams would compete, that probably would have changed once they released a few teams individually later like The Headshrinkers and The Steiner Brothers but I stopped getting figures before then, I think Razor 1 was the latest released figure I got

-WCW (Galoob) invasion
-Eventual WCW Invasion with Hasbro figures (Flair, Sid, Steiners, Luger, Dusty, Tornado, Steamboat) Some figures were my neighbors, we did joint stuff
-Big Bossman & Mountie Tag team (Law & Order)
-Anyone that had that "Gorilla Press" action (Warrior, Hogan, Warlord, Animal etc) all had broken figures because they would get into a test of strength with a figure with the same action, then when they got them down on the mat I would have them "stomp the fingers" thus eventually breaking fingers.
-Always finding a reason to strip the champion of the title before the Royal Rumble. 1992 Rumble IMO is the greatest event of all time. I replicated it as much as I possibly could

We weren't quite as developed with the entrance music as we just played a VHS with the entrance of Bret Hart or whoevers theme music! Obviously we didn't have every wrestlers theme music with this approach though...
