There certainly is a ton or arguing going on about this thing. The ONLY issue I see with this entire product is the fact that they chose THIS as the only avenue to release an elite 2017 Goldberg. No other issue about this entire $100 item is a more concerning issue than that.
That tactic robs a ton of collectors of Goldberg. If the ring has issues with it, so be it. Some people were going to buy, some weren't. But to have an exclusive first time in line figure attached to this monstrosity is a really pathetic cash grab by Mattel.

I was extra hyped, but those posts are too low. If it ends up being half off, I'll get it and try to mod it. They tried for easier playability for kids, but at an adult collector price. No parent is gonna drop $100 for a ring. They tried for two different demos and failed at both. Now I know we ain't getting any Smackdown or NXT version.
I'll be sticking to my ASRs. Yeah, they're too big, but at least I have one for every brand and era.

The better scale (width at least) and light up features don't make up for the basic turnbuckle pads, shorter rope height and uncustomizability (a word?) for me. Not to mention the hefty price.

Meh, I was interested in this ring, but after seeing the pics looks like there are too many negatives attached to it. I'll be sticking with my ASR and just hoping Wicked Cool Toys makes an upgrade pack for the current product. Shouldn't be too hard to add similar features like the posts/skirts to what many of us have now. The ring may be a bit huge, but I've gotten used to it over the years.
This thing is not worth $100. Most I'd ever consider paying for this is $30.

I doubt this is going to be the only modern Goldberg ever released, so I think collector's should relax a little. Besides, they're going to eventually put out Goldberg with the Universal title because that's a total no-brainer. Esp. if they see crap sales from this joke of a ring lmao. I'm more interested in classic WCW Goldberg anyway, just a shame we won't ever get the WCW US title  |

Just any Mattel Goldberg at this point. hell - I'll take a Goldberg/David Arquette Ready2Rumble battle pack w/ Butt Fruit Slurpee accessory at this point if it means I dont need to buy this ring just to get the man. |

That's not a bad start. You're right. It's premature to say they failed with this product. In my opinion, LOGICALLY it's a bad idea to price something at a premium and deliver something designed for children. Common sense tells me most parents won't spend that much on a ring. I say that based on my opinion as a retail employee. Common sense also tells me most collectors win't want to pay a premium price for a ring designed to be inaccurate in scale. That's just my opinion. You're entitled to yours. As someone who absolutely lives rings (I have two Mattel ESRs, 4 WCT ASRs, 1 Jakks scale ring, and will buy more in the future) I'm disappointed in this ring. I'll probably still buy it later on, but I'm disappointed in it. |

The price is far too high, for the price of that ring in the UK I can buy two ASR's. I remember my TRU having the full scale Elimination Chamber (I believe) and it never moved, because parents aren't going to pay £100 for a ring.

That was literally the only reason I wanted to buy it. I was going to probably sell Goldberg and the ring... I'll take the ring and Goldberg if you want to sell them. |
