Not sure why Mattel is holding back with Elite Surfer Stings. No doubt there should be more, lots more. MDT's line up choices recently and going forward (assuming the rumoured e54-60 are true) have left a lot to be desired. Hopefully there will be a new line sometime down the road for stuff like this sort of like the upcoming Attitude Era line. |

Honestly, though I wasn't a fan of the Crow gimmick, I would be content if Mattel released 10 Crow Stings for every one Surfer Sting. Just as long as the Surfer version was good.
The GAB Sting was plagued with problems (beaver teeth, large torso, skinny legs) and the TNF version had the same issues except instead of big teeth he had a big head. There are many of us older collectors that have waited a long time for good Sting figures to have with our collections. And our dreams come true, Mattel gets his license. But for some odd reason, they have fumbled the ball twice with the Elite surfer Stings. And people are disappointed. Especially because we know they can do better. We know they have the right parts already made.
