If anything, having THAT many Samis means that the particular set of elites sold really well and they had to restock a few times. And it was a flashback heavy set.

I think the TNF and store exclusives in general are killing Elites in my area. Stores stay stocked with exclusives, get one case of an elite series, then no more. It's been frustrating to see just how little stores get Elites in less and less since even last year. I'm also getting tired of places getting stuff, then having nothing forever, only to come in and seeing stuff fully stocked......with really old series that were clearly just sitting in the back forever.

Wont be long before jericho and owens are the death of the epic moments line. Although the hardys will breath new life back.in that line temporarily.

My Walmart got E51 in once. The wave sold out within 2-3 days. I was lucky to get Bezerker. I never saw E51 after that though

The death of the Elite line? No, but it'll be awhile before your Walmart gets any new Elite sets in. I get this is suppose to be a joke on my TNF thread, but the big difference is that the Elite sets aren't store exclusives. That line isn't going anywhere, but we all seen what Elite 39 Sycho Sid did for the line. Most stores didn't get any newer Elite sets in until 44-45. The difference with the TNF line, HOF line and even when TRU use to do the BAF lines is that if they sit then it'll be awhile before most stores get the newest set in, and in turn the line gets canceled. This is why we no longer have HOF 4 packs and TRU dropped the BAF line years ago. The HOF singles are still around but instead of getting two sets a year we only get one once a year. So yeah, store exclusives have and do die when the previous set sits on the shelf for too long because the store thinks it isn't selling despite it being old stock. Whether or not its overstock from ordering too much product the fact reminds that it's looked at by the store as a product that isn't selling which gets the line canceled. Ugh, so this is gonna be elite 39 all over again , i thought the sycho sid was a good figure and all, but it just shelfwarmed for 2 years, lets hope this isn't the case with elite 51

It's laughable now to think that at one time most wanted Sid as a Defining Moments figure.

The only titled he held in the WWF was the Winged Eagle, on two different occasions, but he didn't come with it. So for someone like me that displays champions in order of reigns, I had to buy either someone that came with it that I probably already owned, or go to the web to find one individually. I'm not saying that a title would have helped Sid move more, because as we've seen with Quake and Typhoon, people will just steal them if they don't want the figure.

His 2 championship reigns are overshadowed by Shawn Micheals, Bret Hart, and the Undertaker

I still can't believe how many cases Wal-Mart ordered of elite 39 it's ridiculous.

The 1-2-3 Kid held the tag team title twice for a combined reign of 8 days and he came with the Tag Team title. So if Kid can get a Tag Title from an 8 day combined reign, which a lot of people don't even remember that he held that title as the 1-2-3 Kid, let alone who his partners were (Marty Jannetty and Bob Holly), then I believe that Sid should have had the Championship.

I feel like it will move, just give it time. That series hit stores pretty recently. If any figure from that series will warm it'll be berzerker IMO.

When you're treated like a jobber.. Your figures job on the shelf. Yup. Same problem with Adam Rose, Bo Dallas, etc. It also didn't help that when this one hit the Walmarts around me, his TNF suddenly reappears on the shelves again at the EXACT SAME TIME in my area. Not the best timing.

This is definitely a thing. The Walmarts around here tend to favor their exclusive and jam the shelves up with them instead of regular elite sets. Walmart used to have every set at least once. Now they have gone from 39 to 48 to 51 with nothing in between. The exclusive line is inherently a bad thing in my eyes. The four figures are no more or less tantalizing than any regular elite line, but when everyone gets an overpack because the case is the same size but there's only 4 to pick from, well, that's how Earthquake and Typhoon end up rotting. To the op, that Sami Zayn had the reverse problem for me that we often see. The initial proto was good and the figure in hand looked awful instead of vice-versa. When I saw him up close I was like "what the hell is wrong with his face??".

He used to be such a hard figure to find. I guess his jobber status isn't helping things.

My area literally takes everything, I had to search at Marshalls/Ross to find him and the rest of E51 untouched

Sami is a very minor shelf warmer in my area. In fact his newest elite, I scored the last one on the shelf.
