Hip hop being what it is today, which artists of today's generation do you think Tupac would have collaborated with if Tupac were alive today? Which artists of today do you think Biggie would have collaborated with if he were alive today?
Tupac I could definitely see him collaborating with such artists like J. Cole, T.I., Nelly, Future, Lil Wayne, Tyga, etc.
Biggie on the other hand I could have seen collabs with Fat Joe, Nas eventually, Jay Z eventually, 50 Cent aka Fifty, Drake, The Neptunes, etc

Tupac would collab with Dolly Parton, Celine Dion & Britney Spears
Biggie would collab with McDonalds.

I would like to think of Tupac & Biggie were still alive then we wouldnt even have the garbage that is called rap now days. Gangsta rap was both the height & death of rap music.

Tupac would have sold out big time.. He would be on the same level as Dre and Diddy and he would have collaborated with every artist that asked.

Pac would have worked with the underground, definetely would have tried to make hyphy go big in southern cali. Him and E-40, hopefully Mac Dre too, would have done a track, if they already didn't. I could see him working with everyone from 11/5 to Coolnuts and Killer Mike (and everyone in between). If he tried to bridge the gap to the east, would have worked with Maino. Biggie, probably a similar underground east coast route, which I know few artists of. Biggie might have reached across the aisle too, doing a track with someone that meshes with his style on the west. I figure the new rap (mumble) would still exist, but at least the more oldschool style would still have some new jams on the radio (and more influence).

Explain to all of us why 2Pac and Biggie's music is revered 20 years after their deaths. Unlike most Rap and Hip-Pop tracks today, their music had meaning. If anything 2Pac was a poet reciting his poetry in form of rapping. |

Biggie and Pac aren't really all that good or special, so probably anyone that had a bit of money or sway in the industry. Clearly you're someone that doesn't have much knowledge in hip/hop.. "Someone doesn't agree with my opinion so they must not have much knowledge on the subject!" Stop whining because I don't like two overhyped rappers. There were far better rappers and lyricists at the time. Just because they got gunned down when they were at their peak doesn't mean they're all of a sudden amazing. They'd have fallen off just like most others. |

This is once again personal opinion, but I'd much rather listen to stuff from A Tribe Called Quest or Wu Tang. Both of those are legendary artists.. Compared on the levels of Biggie and Pac. Legends are legends for a reason.. Biggie's Ready to Die album is the most classic New York hip hop album in history. Pac, I agree with you to some extent.. I'm no a gigantic Pac fan.. BUT, I respect Pac's ability.. Dude was incredible at what he did. |

2 Pac was a gimmick that made money.
I liked hip hop then, but todays Rap scene is the best yet. I love how punk rock it has become, where not one rapper cares about what they say, and just rhymes words together and makes up words and scream crazy crap. Rap has become punk.
