Warrior Taker Scsa Kane Mankind Hhh Rock Ko Reigns Cena Lesnar Thats under 40% of released figures being current. So we're ignoring Series 3 then? Also, when the line is sold as 'Hasbro style', for me, any guy that was around post Hasbro era isn't Retro. Retro would be pre 1994, surely? Do you class the mid 90s as 'retro'? I certainly don't. Again, this is only my interpretation and I'm not expecting everyone to agree with it. For me, Warrior and Undertaker would be the only Retro figures so far. 2 out of 16 figures officially released so far, which is 12.5% so, apologies. Agreed. When I heard retro I expected legends from the Hasbro era, and earlier. I don't care if we get some new guys or from another era, but the whole idea of this line, was in my thoughts to fill some gaps and bring back the greatest line of wrestling figures. I should of know by the packing of series 1 this line was going to fall apart. And why are they 10$ elites go for 17.99$ 19.99$ and they sell us a flimsy card and figures in black clothing only with no detail to them for 10$. I will pay no problem, but let's get figurea we want to pay 10$ for and not ones that are going to sit the clearance section. This company is taking advantage. Mattel WWE was #1 for a reason selling toys. Because we THE COLLECTORS made that happen. And we request just figures from the early 90s and you give us everything but them. You want to make Mattel #1 again how about you give us some of these guys we request. You won't ever see a retro sitting on a shelf. But nope just keep feeding us cena, reigns, sami, Enzo. Wcw figures. Its the WWE RETRO LINE so make us some WWE RETRO WRESTLERS FROM WWE the ones that you got this idea from, PLEASE AND THANK YOU.

Attitude Era is retro at this point....I always thought the point of the series was to get hasbro style figures of everyone. All eras Yeah, I can appreciate this point of view. Like I said, this is only what my interpretation of what this line would be. I thought it was aimed, on the whole, at us collectors who collected the original Hasbro's. I know there are loads of collectors on here that love the current roster and also collected the Hasbro's all those years ago, but in the main, most of us from my era I suspect were hoping for more legends and figures that never came about during the initial Hasbro run. Either way, I'm more than happy to see a few current guys thrown in as long as we get some more of the old timers, too!

Thats no more current than flip phones surge soda. You gotta adapt with the times. Things that were current 20 years are retro now. And so far only 11 have been officially released. And 4 are current. And you have to keep in mind that current guys are where the money is. A much smaller group buys flashbacks than current guys.

It would alienate 75% of its target customer base...KIDS.

Like I said in my post I don't care if they use a few new guys, but don't make a line called retro and alienate the retro wrestlers from that era. There target customer is kids, but I don't know any KIDS that can go and buy a set of 6 wresting figures for 60$ or any kids that can go out and buy a set of elites for 120$. If they were aimed for kids then why do they make an elite line of figures with such detail ? Kids don't care, they just hear there favorite wrestlers name and want.

Let's go to conventions and show our line of wrestling figures off to kids. Have you ever gone to conventions and comiccons these things are aimed at and are filled with adults. No little kids cam afford or get themselves to these places.
I'm tired of hearing this stuff is for kids. The toys and lines being made today are for adult collectors I don't cate what anyone says. There's barely any kids on here a forum for toys talking about collecting. These companys know, adults and the one buying these up.

If adults collect them, ok, but it doesnt change it is a kids toy. These arent high end collectibles. They just arent. Little kids cant afford ing lollipops and pokemon either, so i guess thats just for adults too? So because kids dont go to comic con, have jobs, or sign up for a forum...thats means toy arent for them. Ok. We have a ing genius here.

All my facts just prove that they are being aimed foe adults to buy. Am i Right or wrong, does matel not come on here to question all the adults at what figures they want? The majority of buyers are serious collectors, with accounts and instagram pages to show off there huge toy rooms in there homes.
Look at ebay, look at the price of ljn,Hasbro and hard to find elite prices are sky high and no Dad or mom is buying those for there kids to play with.
Oh and yes the figures are put in toy stores because that is where they sell them. Every time I go to a toy store it's adults in there buying figures. Kids are after video games, ipods, ipads. There not playing with dolls anymore.
And yes they would not be having these huge conventions for kids. They are for adults.

I totally get that people are thinking these aren’t real. That’s my gut feeling too. But with how crappy the Retro line is getting, it wouldn’t surprise me if these are legit. I’m still baffled over what they’re thinking. For example, they put Cena (a current Superstar with a lot of super colorful apparel) in the first series. He has no shirt, black shorts, and black shoes? Why not make him wear one of his bright fruity pebbles outfits?
Tired of seeing these in the most bland, basic colors. If you go back and look at the old Hasbros, they’re colorful as can be. It’s kinda sad that Mattel sees these as just small little figures.

These. Have. To. Be. Fake.
If real, that is the single worst promotional graphic I have ever seen a major company release. Mattel, if you need grapic design help, PM me. I’ll do it for free.

All these figures in black and crappy lineup choices are going to kill this line which sucks bc I have bought everyone so far. The distribution is awful as well which is crazy frustrating. I have found Austin and that is it so far for the new series. Also, please God no more Sami Zayn!!!!!

I would of rather had retirement match Flair and 97 Bret hart in the wave 3 but hopefully we get them along with Hardy Boys, Angle, DX Michaels, Haitch, Road Dogg, Gunn along with, nWo Nash and Hall, Surfer Sting, Harlem Heat in the next few waves.

I always took the name ‘Retro’ to refer to the style of the figures in the line rather than being an indication of this being a legends exclusive line - that it was just a name they selected to avoid using the word ‘Hasbro’ for obvious reasons, so a mix of generations including modern guys seemed perfectly acceptable to me; but if they are going to do a series in that line especially branded “WrestleMania” then that does indicate some requirement of legends/classic personalities, rather than guys like Sami and Enzo I’d expect a WrestleMania series to have figures based on significant guys that have had defining moments at WrestleMania, and would expect the figures to have their attire to match those moments. If I were choosing a special WrestleMania Retro series (assuming 6 figures in the series, allowing for the situation with Hogan and also considering that guys like Austin, Cena, Triple H, Warrior, Taker and Rock have had figures in the line already), then I’d expect a line-up sort of like this: 1. Andre the Giant (WM 1 attire, since the Hasbro had the classic III attire) 2. Macho Man (VIII gold attire) 3. Diesel (XI attire) 4. Shawn Michaels (XII attire) 5. Eddie Guerrero (XX attire) 6. Daniel Bryan (XXX attire) Or you could sub-in a Kurt Angle, Chris Jericho, The Miz, Batista or Orton from the times they main evented, or Ric Flair from his retirement match with HBK; hell even Zack Ryder with the IC title would be awesome if for no other reason than his passion for the original line - something like that, and then if they do other WrestleMania sets then they can look at new versions of the guys from the first few series based on their WrestleMania looks. That’s what I at least would expect.

Judging by the releases so far though, I'm certain that the brief, up until now at least, is to use as much Black in the figure attires as possible. There's no way it's just a coincidence.

I'm thinking this particular shop has been given the heads up on some releases and has made the graphics up quickly themselves so that they have an exclusive. I'd be surprised if the figures were like that and maybe even those names. In saying that, I can honestly say nothing would shock me with this line now.

More in preparation for releases that I actually want though to go with these initial figures. I havent seen a single one in store since they were released, personally, which sucks as that was one of the main appeals for me. I'm hoping they'll become more accessible as the line grows (hopefully).

For a style of figure clearly aimed at "nostalgic" collectors, it confuses the crap out of me that they persevere with so many modern day characters. I can understand the top guys but throwing in Ambrose, Enzo etc is ridiculous considering the market these will be aimed at. This.
