Hmm I wonder how many notifications Bill has for not being online for 2 Months? 🤔

Didn't Bill say (or mean) that the ring will be the only way to get Goldberg this year? I'm sure there will be more Goldberg figures in the future - including another '16/'17 version. No the video said that's the only way to get a "2017 Goldberg." Face value says that's the only way to get a 2017 version of Goldberg not a Goldberg figure in 2017. No the video said that's the only way to get a "2017 Goldberg." Face value says that's the only way to get a 2017 version of Goldberg not a Goldberg figure in 2017. This is correct. Bill said "this is the only way to get a 2017 Goldberg" ...well if that's the case, they could still release a 2016/Survivor Series Goldberg... 😉

We wanna sell a lot of rings." . 15:30

Let me stop you right there. This is the company that put out a current Hogan before a Hollywood Hogan. Replace the word "Texas" with "Mattel"

Mattel needs to stop messing us about. Just release a damn flashback Goldberg in the next available series or we riot. What's next mattel going to do. Give us no bald Kurt Angle figure or no flashback Hardy Boyz. Where does this madness end?

As I said before, I won't buy a ring just for a figure

Patience is a virtue.
Mattel is not dumb. They are just capitalising on the eagerness of collectors to try sell rings. What better way than this? They will not stop just there. More goldberg figures will come for sure. Get yourselves busy with other matters in the meantime. When the time comes, you wont be banging your head at the wall for falling into their "Ring set" trap.

Mattel's track record after the Hogan cash grab will always be in question. I can just see Bill pitching, "American Made will sell great and then they will buy Hollywood too" Look how that turned out because of their greed...

Not necessarily. Look at Elite 34 Paige and Elite 36 Stardust. If it's WCW Goldberg, they can totally justify putting it in that Elite line. They can, but this is Mattel we're talking about. They're going to try and milk Goldberg as much as they can. They know by making him a DM first that we'll have no other option but to buy the figure for $25+. Take the DM Jericho as an example, nothing about that figure screams $25 (imo). It doesn't even have the correct kneepads and the colors on his tights are off, but a lot of people are able to overlook that and will buy it because they've been impatiently waiting for a fb Jericho. In Mattel’s defence, this is one of the very few DMs that makes sense because Vengeance 2001 WAS Chris Jericho’s career defining moment.

Mattel weren't to know that Hulk would mess up though - they probably had a multi-year deal with him, so wanted to stagger the releases a bit (year 1: classic and current Hogan, year 2: NWO Hogan, year 3: "Still Rules" Hogan etc.). Hindsight is a wonderful thing, lol.
