I know that the Real Scale Rings were 20x20 and the ESR/ASR rings are 22x22, but I was curious to see if it ends up looking really sloppy or if in fact they end up being a close fit.
Follow up question: can you use the RSR turnbuckle covers on a ESR or ASR ring? I much prefer the look of the cloth over the rubbery ones.
Pictures of either of these scenarios would be greatly appreciated!

The RSC ringskirts are too big. They just fall right to the ground. Thay don't even come close to fitting.
The Jakks turnbuckle pads work fine. You might have to use the old Jakks hooks, though.

You might have to use the old Jakks hooks, though.You do have to use the Jakks hooks if you use their style of pads. I bought some of the red fabric turnbuckle pads from... well, another wrestling site that isn't Ringside for my kid's ASR to convert it to a Nitro ring and they won't fit on the WCT hooks. You would also need to either purchase some bungee cord or cut and tie the WCT ropes so they aren't too loose because the standard ASR ropes are too long if you use Jakks hooks and pads.I haven't tried Ringside's ropes with it, though. They may fit well with the Jakks pads and hooks in the ASR. |

Honestly, I have to imagine they could fit because they can fit the RSC ropes which are much thicker than the loops on the Jakks turnbuckles. But I haven't tried it and apparently he has. |

I'm sorry I didn't explain more clearly. Whether or not the ropes fit wasn't the issue I had. The reason I needed the Jakks hooks is because the metal rings on their pads don't fit in the WCT hooks. They are a hair too thick. If I wouldn't have had some Jakks hooks around, I was going to cut the rings off of the pads and use some Velcro or something to close the pads over the WCT hooks and just run the ropes through the hooks like you do with the WCT turnbuckles because the thicker Jakks or Ringside ropes do fit in them. I never tried that method because I was too cheap and lazy to go buy Velcro but that could work if you don't have any Jakks hooks laying around. I'm sorry I don't have any pics of my son's Nitro setup to share at the moment, otherwise I would share so you could see. |

You can use either the mattel or jakks style turnbuckle hooks |
