They probably would have done this sooner rather than later even if the little thing on Monday hadn't happened.
On one hand, I get WWE's perspective, but this is really the TNA/Broken situation all over again. WWE is doing this to be spiteful because they can, and it probably irks them that the Bullet Club are able to make a great living in pro wrestling outside of the WWE umbrella. For years, it's more or less been you earn a good paycheck in WWE or your grovel and scratch and claw to make ends meet on the indy scene. Bullet Club have changed the formula. The Bullet Club guys are no threat to WWE, but you'd be crazy to think seeing hundreds of their shirts on Raw every week doesn't piss them off.
Like with TNA, this will backfire, too. People are going to label WWE as petty, and the hardcore markets are going to have yet another reason to hijack shows.

Sometimes it's best not to kick he hornet nest known as WWE.
WIth the Punk/Colt/Aman lawsuit ongoing, and now this, it proves that WWE has a sore spot and can be very petty if they want, Vince in particular. You're never going to beat a billion-dollar company in court, you're just not. As much as I love Cody (not so much the Bucks) they should stop what they're doing before it gets serious.
BTW, does anyone have any news on the Punk lawsuit? It seems that it's been stagnant for the past 2 years. Unless Punk was lying, I don't see how Aman can win this lawsuit. If Punk was a victim of malpractice he can simply file a countersuit. He had every right to bash Aman if he had an undiagnosed staph infection:

I'm pretty sure this is either a Vince or Stephanie call, but I just remembered that Bruce Prichard once said that WWE's legal department often sends out cease and desists kind of on autopilot without Vince's knowledge. He said a lot of times it's just something that could be resolved with a phone call.
I think Cody even said on Jericho's podcast recently that he probably could have talked to Vince and gotten permission to use the Rhodes name but he didn't feel like dealing with it.

Good thing they like to do super kicks because they'll be super kicking some cash away.

Along with The Bad Guy Razor Ramon, and The 123 Kid! And introducing the fifth and final Kliq member.... Duke "The Dumpster" Droese!!"

THE BUCKS ARE GREAT WRESTLERS BETTER THAN ANY TEAM THAT WWE CURRENTLY HAS SO OF COURSE WWE IS GOING TO COMPLAIN AND BRING IN THE LAWYERS I am not sure if you are trolling or being serious. If the Bucks are the great wrestlers and better then any tag team currently in WWE then why aren't they in WWE. The real reason why they aren't in the WWE is because their attitudes and that they don't want to lose any money from the indy dates and prowrestling tees store. Konnan stated in a podcast if you go to WWE and if it doesn't work out, you can charge more because if you put that you were in WWE indy promotors are gonna like that because it makes them look legit. I've checked out their youtube channel and I wasn't entertained. This whole The Revival thing is stupid and pretty lame. Their youtube channel is like a WWE audition tape so that Triple H can look at it and say to himself "Let's get these guys in here".

This was from that Lumber Jack match between Diesel and Sid at In Your House 2 from July 1995.

Their next thing is gonna be them going "OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH" and cocking their shins. And having their opponents raise their arm in a show of respect that they are the greatest of all time.

Is Vince gonna start going after people for shooting double birds, claiming it infringes on Steve Austin's gimmick?
