has anyone asked bill (and or Mattel) about the diva figures losing 9 POA? I assume it's not cause the recent Alexa Bliss doesn't have this, thanks in advance

looks like she's missing the ab crunch and has the new-style elbows. how is that 9 POA?

Ankles: 2 Biceps: 2 Thighs: 2 Ab Crunch: 1
I've got 7 and that's still a lot. It's pathetic, and I'll never buy a basic again

I think you believe that they removed the elbow hinge/swivel as well?
If so, I can see why you'd think that because of the angle of the photo. It makes it look like she doesn't have jointed elbows...i originally thought the same until I saw another view of Natty. Elbows are there, just kinda hidden because of the year on her arms

Arm articulation is the same movement but the rotation has moved from the shoulder to the elbow. The black paint is hiding a lot in this photo.

Nothing bores me more on here than people complaining about articulation. I somehow survived growing up with Hasbros and Galoobs just fine, and they weren't exactly the most flexible figures in the world.

To be fair though, these figures are losing them (whether that's an issue is down to each individual collector) as opposed to not having them to begin with.

Looks like she does have the ab/under boob movement. Seems like the paint is hiding it or it’s just a really good fit/design for her because it looks seamless. But then again I’m not a current/women’s collector so I could be wrong.

To be fair the ab crunch on female figures may aswell not even be there.

The moving of the bicep to elbow doesnt bother me, just like on male basics....but the rest is just a terrible terrible choice unless we're getting an exclusive womans elite line somewhere. Bill did say they were working with walgreens on some things.

Hasbro and Galoob were alway pretty crappy (no offense if you're a fan) Mattel actually started out well but considering they've, once again, jacked up the price of these figures whilst at the same time taking away articulation, pisses me off even as someone who doesnt usually pose figures, over the years theyve cut quality and upped price constantly. The fact they've taken away articulation I dont see why they feel the need to up the price.

Mattel hasn't raised their prices retailers have. On Mattel's retail website the basics are still...$9.99 or less, Elites are $19.99 and DM are $24 (speaking of which the DM Jericho is on their site as B/O until 10/10 so I guess he'll be out soon) but those have been their MSRP for at least 2 years now. Probably longer. So don't say they are raising their prices. Because that is the retailers trying to squeeze as much of a profit as they can out of a popular brand.
And as far as basic female figures go personally I feel they were giving us Elites at basic price for the last 7 years thus making their Elite female figures feel like a rip-off as we were basically getting the basic figures at a premium elite price. It was a good 7 year run, but now dropping the ab crunch and thigh cuts from their basic females is something they should have done since 2010 so they are now on par with the rest basic figures. Sure it sucks that they are doing it 7 years later, but honestly that Natalia is what basic female should have been since the beginning.

We survived without power windows & door locks on cars too but I bet when you go buy a car you dont ask for a base model do ya?

Who cares? You can't even play well with the old style divas. What does it matter? Those figures were only ever good for managers/valets.

Locked my keys in too many times and those motors for windows arent as easy to fix or as cheap as hand crank

Sure it sucks that they are doing it 7 years later, but honestly that Natalia is what basic female should have been since the beginning. I agree with that 100% Plus I never saw the point in the ab crunch for female figures. It wasn't a significant feature. It wasn't as functional as the male ab crunch. However I can say that taking away the bicep feature does rub my wrong. I think every basic should have the bicep feature. Ankles can go on both, the thigh can go on females because that wasn't significant either! I'm just really stuck on the bicep. We have had bicep articulation since the Jakks RA days. Without it, I'm getting Titan Tron Live vibes from Mattel. So honestly I'd be willing o sacrifice the thigh, ankle and ab crunch for bicep on male and female figures. I can say that without a doubt I'll be limiting the amount of figures I buy just based on that. I will continue to buy female figures but male figures I'll be giving a second guess. Unless it's Noam Dar, Gallagher or Corbin. I'd buy them no matter what.
