Hi guys,
I'm new to the forum. My goal is to put together the entire LJN Collection preferably MOC. I realize there are a few figures where that might be hard, but any tips, or places I can go besides Ebay/Craigslist to find figures? Are there toy shows, or wrestling shows where people might be selling. I'm considering going to the Legends of the Ring in Jersey to see what I can add to my collection.
Thanks!

good luck to you. You wont believe the difficulty of completing an MOC set no matter how much I say it until you try.

I will give you a little warning and I'm not afraid to share this because I love collecting and I had LJN when I was a little kid. But I bought the black set in the last 2 years and the avg I spent on them loose so I would say on avg 150-200, and that was the black set and loose.
I wish you all the luck in the world but wanting a MOC LJN set good luck

Did the Sgt Slaughter come in a black card package, or did it come loose?

Did the Sgt Slaughter come in a black card package, or did it come loose? It came in a bag, in a generic cardboard box.

Ebay can be good, if you are on it a lot and get lucky. Many are overpriced, but if you wait and be patient, there are gems to be found.
Facebook groups have been the best IMO. Prices are fair and peopla are willing to deal.
Buy/sell sites like Craiglist are also great.
Signings and shows are NOT good options IMO, because guys with tables there know the people there are marks and/or need the figure for someone at the signing. Prices aren't usually great.

How does the facebook group work? With Ebay, they guarantee each purchase. Is there any issue with people ripping you off with facebook sales?

There can be, but most pages have a reference list and you try to deal with guys who have done good business repeatedly. You also pay as Goods with Paypal and that usually works out because you can file claims if they screw u
