This is an interesting place for Roman and WWE fans. It reminds me of the time they brought back the APA for a night when JBL was the most hated heel in the company. The fans wanted to naturally cheer them as the APA but then they would boo when JBL talked individually.
Fans love the SHIELD, but boo Roman. Does this get him over or will fans cheer them as a group but single out Roman with boos on an individual bases
(I’ll put this in here so my topic titles makes sense. Is Roman the hated over pushed guy fans resent, or is he now one third of the most beloved factions in recent memory?)

They cheered him last night so you should already know the answer.

Last night really proved to me that wrestling fans are so not intelligent.
How do you go from booing Roman Reigns for the past two and a half years, to cheering him just because he is with Seth and Dean?? Nothing about Roman has changed. He still did the super man punch, and the spear. Same moves, but a huge fan reaction for them. If Roman was out there on his own doing those same moves, he'd get booed.

It really depends on how long the reunion lasts. Roman has gotten cheered before in "one off" scenarios, like when he first won the title from Sheamus. But eventually, the shock and awe will wear off and everyone will become bored again.

I can't stand eating scrambled eggs or anything of the sort. But I love cookies, which couldn't be made without eggs. Sometimes, you can hate something but like it when it's combined with other things. Your love for the combination trumps your hatred for the individual ingredient. To make it simple, the fans love The Shield more than they hate Roman.

I get what you are saying, but if that's the case, than if the fans love The Shield more so than Roman, could 3 random guys come out as The Shield and still be over?? Could Seth and Dean come out with someone like Mojo Rawley as The Shield and still be over?? Roman makes that third portion, and thus it still seems dumb to me for fans to cheer him in The Shield but not on his own.

The Shield became an instant classic when they debut and are already Legendary. Roman is the third piece of the puzzle and despite being hated he is required to make The Shield complete so will always be cheered as long as he's in the group.

My friend, they literally called him BOO-tista haha, cmon man. He got boo’d right out of a ‘Mania main event win at 30.

The original recipie is always the best. But even though the recipie is better with that one ingredient, doesn't mean I have to like it on its own.

It’s simple really. Roman is busy in the Shield, he gets cheered. Roman starts a storyline inching him towards the Universal title, and the boos will return with the quickness.

Roman is still the smug, entitled d*ckhead who walks, talks, and acts like big box office, who has no concern over his positioning in the company because he knows the best doctors in the world couldn't surgically remove Vince's lips from his a**. Creative just threw the audience an incentive to cheer him for the moment with a quick reunion, hoping those cheers can sprout into actual support. I assume it will take until their actual match at TLC for most people's nostalgia to wear off, in time for them to witness Dat Dude run through his chump opponents singlehandedly. Why? Because Reigns is their guy, and you'll like him whether you want to or not.

Only thing that bugs me is that hearing the Shield theme won't be as cool because I'll always associate it with Roman coming out #30 in the Rumble after losing a title match on the same night. Big Dog's gotta hunt! (I also can not stand eggs)

He still got some boos. He was starting to get boos before they broke up back in 2014. Kids and women like Reigns. Some males do but the majority of the male fan base cannot stand him and rightfully so.

He's someone who will be cheered with the Shield and booed by himself. Probably because his character has never advanced past the Shield.
