Hi All,
Just a quick one. I’m working with a few guys who are working on a 1990-94 Wrestling Figure Retrospective Book based on the Hasbro series.
Loads of cool photos from the net and private collections and information on Twitter for the book and when it’s goinf to launch.
There’s currently a series of questions with figure designer Ron Rudat. With that in mind looking for anything you want answers for and will feature in the book.
I know there are lots of topics about Ron and the Hasbro figures.
If you’ve anything you want answers on please leave them below!

Sounds like a great idea! A few from me;
1. Can he name any other names that were to be part of certain lineups but were canned before prototypes were made? I've always wondered about series 4, and 5 (2 waves of 5). It was odd for a lineup to have an odd number. Was anyone else originally scheduled for the lineups? Maybe another Warrior before he was fired again? Piper in ring gear, or heel Jake before they left?
2. Why were tag team 2 packs discontinued?
3. Were there any names on a list for whatever wave would have come after the orange cards?

Why did we get an unchanged rerelease of Tatanka? Isn't that already pretty well known? Because Beefcake left and they cancelled his figure. Is there any more to that? Along the same lines, I assume Macho King was originally planned for re-release in S3 just as Piper was repacked and how they had packed Beefcake, Bossman, Jake in S2. And when he dropped the macho king gimmick, did they just get rid of the crown and scepter and that's how we got the same figure just without the accessories?

Ah, I didn't actually know Tatanka replaced the cancelled Beefcake. Could have at least given him his white tights...

On the Tatanka issue - what sort of design process did the original figure go through? Given the attire he was given didn't match the look of what the wrestler himself wore, was there ever a plan to give him the loincloth he wore over his trunks? Or were there early plans to have him in his white tights that changed too late to correct his outfit for this figure release?

I am very interested to see this book as I have had a guide out for about 10 years now that I have sold hundreds of on eBay, so I am intrigued to see what this looks like!!! I am in process of updating mine now with a number of new finds that Zack Ryder has published on his pages as it has been about 2 years since I have had it available for purchase! I know a number of people on this site and FB pages have enjoyed my guide in the past!

We’re looking to move away from ebooks and do something a little different from what is already out there. A physical full colour book with input from various writers, designers, celebs and collectors. Kickstarter will launch next month.

How about some questions regarding accessories. I'm glad there were no superfluous accessories like damn near every figure or which followed, but there were also some gems that could have been made. I'm sure costs had a lot to do with it, but did they have everything to do with it?
