Guys I collect mint on card... but to be fair was wondering how much defects does there have to be on the box or card before it’s no longer classed as mint. I mean MOC collectors where do you draw the line before you say ah that’s not mint I’m not buying that one?

I'm trying not too be TOO fussy these days... as long as the package is in generally good condition. I don't like/won't buy any cards or boxes that have nasty creases or any knocks on the corners though.

This It’s near impossible to keep something MINT, it’s a lot of effort so as long as it’s sealed and in “great” condition (no creases, bends or major scuffs) I’ll buy

I just keep certain figures packaged cause I like how they look. I am sure they won't be worth money 20 years from now with how over produced they are compared to the old LJN or Hasbro figures.
So to me, I don't care if the package is perfectly crisp and such, as long as it looks cool tacked onto my wall, that's all that matters.

As long as there are no creases, dents or bends on the card then its fine with me. Also no scratches or scuffs on the plastic.

Never ever seen a "Mint" card. Every card has some kind of issue. Just try ur best & have a good eye.

So basically it’s gottabe perfect for you?... very difficult to find ones with no creases at all... even some in smyths which I ask them to bring down from the racks straight from a sealed big box has creases and dings on them.

In depends on availability of the figure. First of all, I only buy the widely available figures from RSC with PPS shipping now. But if they're store exclusives, I try to get them in as perfect condition as possible. But I'll live with certain things if I'm not seeming to find them anywhere else. For example, I only saw the Cena TRU Exclusive once in person, and it's in real good condition.

At first I was really picky, no creases no scratches no nothing. Then I started to be more lenient. Now, I'm on the verge of throwing them all out because of how much space they take up.

That mint word is way overused. "Mint" is a classification used for coin collecting where a coin has been placed by the actual mint into a sealed package before it is ever touched by human hands and is intended to remain untouched. There is no such a process at the Mattel factory where the figure on card is placed into a safe container as such I assure you so therefore nothing in our hobby is mint. The term now has become an exaggeration for describing what an individual perceives to be flawless.

I don't mind as long as it's in decent condition.

I can’t pass up a deal on a damaged package so I never really have much to worry about in that sense. I just take it home and open it.
But for my absolute max damage for MOC...if it’s something I love for a good price from the 80s...some creases, maybe even a bubble crack. As long as it looks more “old and cool” than junky.

I don't collect in the package and yet I somehow still manage to cringe every time I see figures with box cutter slices from top to bottom. The people cutting these things for minimum wage really don't give a damn and that's understandable, but maybe just a smidge less pressure?

I left many figs on the shelf because of box cutter slices on boxes. Pisses me off!
