I don't know about you guys, but i was 10 kinds of disappointed in getting a Davey Boy Smith with such generic parts! A SCSA chest and those skinny legs? Who thought that would make for a great 1991 ( when he was at his biggest) incarnation of the Bulldog? The dude was 260 pounds and built like a tank! He had your typical large but not well defined body, most of us know where that comes from. Now if you had another crack at him, are there any current parts that would work better for him. I've heard of people using the Warlord chest, but Warlord was 323 pounds and 7 inches or so taller! Thoughts?

The thing that got me the most about that figure is it looks like Harry not Davey Boy.

Only part I care about is a younger head sculpt and a Dynamite Kid accessory.

Well, the Summerslam basic had a Cena top, so that could work. I didn't really have a problem with his legs, but maybe the DM Hogan for the bottom half?

Yeah the body of his last Elite seems too run of the mill. Wish he was a little more beefy/stocky. Bulldog seems like the kinda guy they’d have to make an entirely new mold for.

SCSA is the perfect torso. And Bulldog was never as wide as the Warlord torso would suggest.

Austin torso is perfect for Bulldog, its just too big for a guy like Austin. The Brock torso is literally that, THE Brock torso. Its passable for Animal and somewhat for Warlord but other then that it really doesnt fit anyone else.

I think the Elite 49 Brutus Beefcake would be a good base for a Bulldog figure. It would give him some extra bulk but not as ripped as the Warlord torso.

The Austin torso is great for his 96-97 run and looks awesome on the Legends Bulldog, but 90-92 Davey Boy was huge. Mattel rarely changes the formula for guys already made so we’re probably stuck with the Austin torso anyways.

I think E30 Animal would work well for a stocky Davey Boy. Also give him shorter boots than the E39. I'm not so sure about the shorter boots... Bulldog's boots were kind of in the middle - I remember I tried giving my custom SummerSlam '92 Elite shorter boots (using lower Jim Neidhart legs/boots) and it just didn't look as good as the tall boots...

I'd be surprised because Mattel has basically said hall of fame or legends or flashbacks and made an Ellsworth figure with more inaccurate parts than the Seth Rollins figures.

Ha, was just thinking this yesterday and then find this thread! I noticed the legends series Bulldog has the body that the younger Davey Boy needs. Skin tone could do with being just a tiny shade more red.

I was thinking about his part choices when I looked at some of his matches. Bulldog certainly had a weird torso. It was like the upper section was wide and stocky while his abs were very slim. Almost like a V shape to his torso. I think a unique torso would be nice, with a pair of Cody Rhodes legs.
