Anyone watching this series? I just started watching it and really think its a pretty good show, I think the guy that plays the lead role of Archie is a decent actor.

I’m liking what I’ve seen so far, which is most of season one. I’m juggling watching quite a few things at the moment but I haven’t forgotten about it, just need the time to check out more.
I like the dark tone and casting choices, but a minor gripe is the small exposition scenes that are often too quick to have any lasting impact. Other than that, it’s a great show.

I thought Season 1 was fantastic. Season 2 hasn't been quite as strong for me so far. The cast is great. The girl who plays Cheryl Blossom is off the charts good. Season 1 felt like a grounded homage to Twin Peaks Season 1 and I loved so much of the mystery and the path of the story. You can tell that Season 1 was one meticulously planned out story.

I still can't get over Cheryl calling Fred a DILF. That girl is all the right kinds of crazy.

I started watching about week ago and got through the first season and caught up with the second just in time for S2 E3. The cast is fantastic, Lili Reinhart's facial expressions are amazing and Madelaine Petsch has done an incredible job of making me despise Cheryl, but yet I still feel a sense of compassion for her at times. She's the polar opposite of everything I was in high school, that said, Jughead resonates with me the most.
Cole Sprouse certainly has evolved from the kid I used to watch on the Disney channel a decade ago.

Yea, you could definitely see similar themes with Twin Peaks and ofcourse Madchen Amick was a nice casting. I also noticed a few episodic titles paying homeage I think to similar films of years gone by, such as the pilot episode called "Rivers Edge" which happens to be one of my all time faves, similar themes about a murdered girl and how a bunch of teenage friends come to grips with it "Body Double" the title of the 4th episode, was a good 80s slasher with Melanie Griffith. The Outsiders, another teen drama from the early 80s. Then ofcourse Molly Ringwald playing Archies mum, who can forget her from the 80s John Hughes movies?
