Love Almas and people will come around to him soon. The guy is a workhorse and oozes charismas. So glad he’s in the main event picture.

He's a top guy, how rude. He’s lucky Zelina Vega came along to save his career... Zelina's there because Almas struggles with English. A good manager is a great thing. Almas is my second favorite guy in NXT (behind Gargano) and has been more interesting in 2017 than everyone else on last night's card except Velveteen Dream.

He’s lucky Zelina Vega came along to save his career... Ive liked Andrade Almas since he started in CMLL, even more when he formed Los Ingobernables with Rush and La Mascara. I do agree that pairing Zelina with Almas saved his career. To me, he looks like if there were a TV Title in NXT, he'd be perfect for that title scene. Im happy for him, but i agree that he doesn't feel like a top guy, even for NXT standards I think he feels like more a top guy than Drew McIntyre, Adam Cole or Bobby Roode, who just acme in as guys with name power and nothing more.

I still think he’s a midcard act in developmental, just like Gargano, a guy I think is awesome. Almas doesn’t connect with the audience, at all. Vega has all of the charisma. I have no issue with Almas, good worker, but WWE is filled with good workers. It would be one thing if Vega was just the last piece in getting Almas over the hump but she’s carrying the load. We’ll see. If the title is off of him at the next Takeover then I think the point stands.

NXT has become OBSESSED with hotshotting the title to the next big name they sign. It happened with Nakamura (though his wasn't exactly a hot shot), Roode, McIntyre and it will with Adam Cole next.

I think Cole wins it in January, only because McIntyre got injured. I thought McIntyre would have won the title back in January, then drop it to Cole in April and move up the main roster

Alister Black vs Velveteen Dream was a MOTY candidate for sure! I really need to see a best of 7 series with these two.

Velveteen Dream really impressed me with his match against Black. Glad Undisputed Era won War Games and I hate that Almas won the NXT title. Not a fan of his what so ever and I hate his gimmick. I'm hoping Adam Cole takes the title away from him soon.

Just now watching...wow, Black vs Dream is even better than what I’ve heard, and that’s saying something. That was my Moty, holy hell what a ride!

Quick thoughts on War Games:
-Ohno/Sullivan: was hard hitting but forgettable. Sullivan just screams misfire to me, hopefully he goes nowhere. Please I love Ohno, but he either has to lose weight or stop putting him on TV. His gear looks ridiculous.
-Dream/Black: MOTN for me. The story they told was incredible, and the match was really good on top of it. Dream and Black are the real deal and can see them being legacy feud down the road. Once either of them win the NXT title, I see the other challenging for it. Could be the start of something special.
-Women's Title: really enjoyed the match and happy to see Ember win it. Her match with Asuka at TakeOver Brooklyn was awesome, and she didn't disappoint here either.
-Almas/McIntyre: was a great match imo. Almas is always solid and I am coming around on McIntyre. I have a hard time fathoming how big and jacked he is. Not to mention he is crisp and hard hitting in the ring. Sad to see him injured, but Almas is going to thrive and that means more of Zelina's hot ass.
-WARGAMES: Not going to lie this was better than I expected but I wasn't blown away like some were. It was fun chaos and had some cool spots, but I really wish they would tone down the dives and slams to the group of wrestlers standing below. It just looks and feels so goddamn stupid when they are setting up a move and a group of 6-7 guys are standing there slapping each other/looking up waiting for the others to fall on them. Also, not a fan of Undisputed at all. Adam Cole is so damn tiny compared to everyone else, and their entire group's moveset consists of kicks and knees, it is so weak. I knew UE was going to pick up the W, but I'd rather Strong/AOP. Overall, I enjoyed the match but just a few things irked me.

Very good show, though I don't think it really hit the mark that Brooklyn III and Chicago did. Black/Dream was the match of the night for sure. The only real letdown was the Women's Title match. The Women's division is a pretty glaring weak spot for NXT right now, despite having a large crop of women.
War Games was fun, and the right team won, but the match just doesn't do a lot for me. I know people have been clamoring for it for years, but the two rings is incredibly gimmicky and doesn't exactly serve much of a purpose outside of having more room to work. I won't be upset if they do it again in the future, but I also wouldn't care if this was a one and done.

The only downside to Takeover, was overrated Moon getting the belt. Should've been Royce.

What on Earth was going on with the ref? He was as orange as an Oompa Loompa.

This is why I was never a big Daniel Bryan fan, too many kicks and knees for my liking.
