I’ve heard several people note that the Retros have detailed tattoos and Hasbro didn’t pay attention to tattoos. Can anyone think of any terrible tattoo admission?

The Bushwackers, Rick Rude, Smash, and Ludvig Borga are all missing their tattoos.

Well with the first figure that was ok; at his debut Undertaker didn't have visible tattoos... At WrestleMania VIII (1992) against Jake "the Snake" Roberts he had one visible tattoo on his right fore-arm. So, red carded 'taker (1993) should've had tattoos.

I thought the Papa Shango and Bigelow tattoos were bad. Shango's were blue and Bigelow's were black and the blue head tattoo. What was that all about? That seems like something silly Jakks would do. For the most part Hasbro was awesome with getting the details right.

it funny how they obviously didn't think the tattoos were needed in the first series for smash or rude but realised they were necessary as the series progressed. Was gutted when i my earthquakes tattoo started to come off.

As a kid, I thought the tattoos we got were great even if inaccurate. I figured, the alternative of having them ommited completely was worse!

Was gutted when i my earthquakes tattoo started to come off. When I was a kid, I usually tried to change the Hasbro figures when a wrestler went to WCW. Repo Man went to WCW as Blacktop Bully. I rubbed the top of his head on the Hasbro ring (the abrasive portion) to remove Repo's hair. With Earthquake I took something to rub off the tattoo and colored his arm with a square of blue sharpie to make him Shark. As a kid I always thought Shark's tattoo was just a colorful square. After seeing a larger picture, it's amazing how intricate it was.

Wasn't his tattoo covered by that armpad? That's good point, I think your right Yeah they kept it covered up but part of it still stuck out. He didn't cover it when he was Khrusher Khruchev in NWA and they had just had the debacle with everyone realizing the original Smash was one of the Moondogs so they didn't want casual fans realizing the new one was another known wrestler.

Yes that would make sense
