Mattel agreed to extend their contract with wwe, which means the line is doing great. Also the fact that it won best action figure line doesn’t hurt either. We don’t know exacts, but wwe stock is up a good bit due to over all merchandising (includes the figure line)
Also, if hasbro acquired Mattel, don’t expect much to change at all. They would most likely stay as different entities, just under the larger umbrella of hasbro.
Some of you hate Mattel and the line so much, yet still sink thousands into it. Just stop collecting if you hate it so much

Mattel agreed to extend their contract with wwe, which means the line is doing great. Yes they did but only for another 2 years NOT 5 like the previous extension- doesn't look like a huge endorsement for the line IMO. If the line is doing great then why the short term extension and not another 5 year extension?! As someone else has pointed out Mattel does not release sales numbers for the WWE action figure line, they lump them together with other products so there is no way to know exactly how the line is performing.

They wouldn’t do it at all if they had no faith. They obviously did it because they have faith. We know nothing of it. Most likely only 2, so they can negotiate the terms with wwe. Who knows, none of us on here do. I just don’t get why some of you have zero faith in this line, yet dump money into it. the line is obviously doing well if multiple stores are requesting so many exclusives and Mattel continues to expand.

Some people here are like WWE smarks. Smarks who spend top dollar on going to WWE shows. Buying the WWE Network subscriptions and merchandise while constantly complaining about the WWE product. Same for hating the Mattel figures yet spending hundreds of dollars on them yearly. Also, some y'all need to read some of the Hasbro toys fansites. They have similar grievances about figures some call great. Grass not always greener on the other side.

I can’t count how many times I’ve heard this before and nothing happened, but you never know. Hasbro is worth 11 billion while Mattel is worth 5. That would put Marvel and DC under 1 roof. Best to keep an eye on the story but not get too excited yet. Maybe a year ago I heard on News Radio that Lego had become the worlds largest toy company. They had just surpassed Mattel, the report said. If you look on Wikipedia you'll see that Mattel has about 1 billion more in assets than Hasbro does, and about the same revenue. I did hear the report about Hasbro wanting to buy Mattel tho. It would be interesting to see what would happen with the wwe line. Maybe a buyout would cause wwe to seek a new manufacture.

Oh man, interesting. Maybe I won't have such a tough time finding my Hasbro Retro figures anymore after all....since that might be all that there is lol. That would suck so much
