I spend on certain times. When i do spend, it depends on the reason. Normally i would buy an entire series pack when i wanted every action figure. Other than that, i wait til a time like today with the Black Friday sale and/or Cyber Monday sale, depending on how much i save up beforehand.

I spend whenever I feel the need. I usually just purchase Elites (so when I see new sets pop up on Amazon, RSC exclusives, store exclusives, etc.) I buy them. I'm usually hit and miss on Basics; if they're in a cool attire (one I like that probably won't get made into an Elite), I'll get them too.

Any first time figs, elite or basic. If it's basic I'm grabbing the 1st elite for sure. Then any decent elite upgrades later on. I love ringside. I have no problem spending a few extra bucks and not wasting hours searching and getting figures weeks early. Especially with distribution.

I’ve spent about $140 over the year on Mattel figures - small change I know, but that’s still a sizeable increase from the $0 I’ve spent on Mattel before then Almost all of that is on the Retro series - as a Hasbro-generation collector, that’s the range that’s brought me to the Mattel party. I’ve allowed myself to indulge in the nostalgia of walking into stores and buying those figures like it’s 1993 again, so I’ll see that collection through to however long Mattel decide to develop that line. But had the normal Mattel range been my generation of figures, then Christ knows how much I’d be spending on them every month - the Elites especially look so good. I do have the Isaac Yankem figure that I picked-up at Comic Con this summer, but I’m not allowing myself to get dragged into collecting them as well But I’m still building my Hasbro collection - if you asked me how much I’m spending on them, then well

Too much. Was always buying and selling and I couldn't keep up hence selling up majority of collection bar current and attitude figures

I rarely, if ever, pay full price for anything, save for the Retros (the reason I even got back into collecting in the first place). It's always kinda been my thing with trying to find good deals and it keeps a LOT of money left in my pocket.
I use Amazon points through my credit card program to grab figures I want when Amazon has good deals (essentially free figures obtained through my bill autopays on my card every month). Also scour store websites for discounts/sales for stuff I might like and rummage through the discount stores (Big Lots, TJ Maxx, Marshalls, etc) any chance I get, cheap eBay auctions, etc. Sometimes, wait for an RSC sale like this past weekend to catch up on stuff I missed at retail. All in all, my spending on the amount of Mattel based WWE figures in the year since I started collecting them is VERY low compared to if I had paid full price for them altogether. If you added all of it up, I've probably saved somewhere in the range of 50-60% when all totaled up.
