Keep The Shield together until Mania and have all 3 win gold that night. You could then close the show with The Shield standing tall as they celebrate with Roman. Id actually like to see that ending

Rollins over Reigns at MITB, but that was due to circumstance. AJ over Roman at some time would be nice.

In this instance, I believe it's why they could go the route of AJ Styles vs Shinsuke Nakamura for the WWE Championship, with Nakamura winning the Rumble, as a way to appease the fans slightly. The trouble for me is, is that it seems awfully similar to the same procedure they use on a yearly basis for the Raw following Mania. They give the smart fans something fairly substantial to soften the blow as they'll always be watching regardless, but the bigger picture is that they always book what they want for themselves as the big thing that matters. They could give us AJ Styles vs Finn Balor, AJ Styles vs Nakamura, even Brock Lesnar vs AJ Styles like they have done recently, but the reality is, Roman Reigns winning the Universal Championship clean over Lesnar at Wrestlemania is the only thing that matters to them, and it's what they've spent the whole year booking towards. All these little sweetners throughout the year are just gap fillers.

But that reaction he got in Orlando the Raw after Wrestlemania 33 was quite vociferous and volatile, wasnt it?

That sh*t was brutal lol.

I think the best course of action would be to give fans Nakamura vs Styles at WM. Have one of them win the RR. That way those disenchanted with Roman vs Brock still have a reason to enjoy the show. You'll have the main event for the wrestling purists and you'll have a match for the sports entertainment fans. Both win in the end.
IMO, that what WWE should do with their company in general. Make RAW the show where the focus is on over the top stories. Make SD the show where you may see a 30 minute classic on free TV with very few backstage segments. Move talent to where they'd be the most successful. And this way, no matter what someone's preference is, WWE benefits.

You’ve got the indie/New Japan workhorses in Nakamura, Styles, Zayn and Owens on SD. If Balor didn’t have the demon gimmick he’d probably be over there too. But I agree, they should keep all 3 brands a little different.

I was pretty confident for a while that they'd go with Styles/Nakamura as a "make good" to the hardcore audience. I'm not so sure about that anymore, but a lot of that has to do with the fact that Nakamura's booking has been bad, and, in truth, he hasn't been much better.
