Just random curiosity. I know a few if not a lot of you attend house shows and post about it in threads you make. But would it be okay to have sort of an "unofficial" official house show thread to post your experiences in? I'm going to my first house show in about 3 years in January and I'm already excited about it. marino13, would this be kosher?

I think it would be cool for people to share their experiences and hopefully post pics of house shows they go to.
Speaking of house shows, I'm still pissed that WWE hasn't done any televised house shows on the Network. They floated that idea as something that they'd be able to do when they started the Network, and except for Beast in the East, the one MSG thing and that very first RoadBlock.....there's been zero house shows on the Network. Starrcade would have been a great time to do that, but they didn't do it.
WWE Network is kinda starting to suck because they are losing money and killing all of the original Network shows that were a huge part of it a few years ago. And I'm not saying I think every house show should be aired, that would be way too expensive and on one house show loop pretty much every RAW house show is the same and every Smackdown house show is the same. But I'm saying that maybe ONCE every month and a half maybe, air ONE RAW house show and ONE Smackdown house show.
OR, once like every 2 or 3 months have a SUPERSHOW house show like a Starrcade and air it.
Yeah, the PPV's are cheap, yeah you get NXT and yeah you have access to the tape library....but I just don't feel I'm getting that much ORIGINAL or live content from the Network anymore.

I think a house show/live event thread would be good.
I say if people wanna talk about past experiences too at those shows they can. It would just be a neat place to read some cool stories.

Let's give it a go and see what happens. I won't sticky it yet, but if it does well enough in a couple days/weeks, I will.

It would be nice to have everyone's experiences consolidated into one thread.
Give this one a chance, guys. Because reading about your experiences, however different they may be, is always a nice read.

I like it. House shows can be some of the most entertaining.

Sounds good to me. We have members from all around the world and at least some are consistently going to house shows, so I don’t see a reason not to.

Everybody in here's goin' "I agree," but where are the results?! I'll start off. This coming February, I'll have been going to live pro wrestling shows for 30 years. And non-televised house shows have absolutely been my favorites. Here are the results of one of the shows I've been to, from 1992 in Salt Lake City, Utah. WWF @ Salt Lake City, UT - Delta Center - July 31, 1992 Repo Man pinned Bushwhacker Butch (sub. for Davey Boy Smith) after hitting him with his tow rope behind the referee's back Crush defeated the Brooklyn Brawler via submission with the head vice Bushwhacker Luke (sub. for Sgt. Slaughter) pinned the Mountie with a roll up Tatanka pinned Rick Martel The Ultimate Warrior pinned Papa Shango Kamala pinned Louie Spiccoli with a splash to the back The Nasty Boys defeated Owen Hart & Koko B. Ware when Saggs pinned Ware with an elbowsmash off the top WWF IC Champion Bret Hart pinn Shawn Michaels (w/ Sensational Sherri) after Michaels accidentally hit a running knee on Sherri on the apron Credit: The History Of WWE

Told this on here before, but... My favorite house-show experience was here in Altoona PA. The match was Christian vs Bubba Ray in a tables match. There were only two people (me being one of them) cheering for Christian. Luckily for me, the other just happened to be sitting beside me.
After a while Bubba power-bombs through the table for the win. SLAM. Table doesn't break. Bubba looks surprised and Christian looked well... dead. So then Bubba picks Christian up and slams him into the table again. Nothing. Now Bubba looks annoyed. So he sets it up in the corner. Whips Christian into it and yet again... nothing. After a couple more attempts Bubba now has had enough. He just leaves.
After a minute or so Christian starts getting to his feet. Before he does, Bubba Ray comes flying out with a small piece of particleboard. He whips it across Christian's back. It breaks. Ref calls it.
Lost my voice because I wanted Christian to feel appreciated.

It was really Cool seeing America Alpha vs The Revival last year at the NXT house show in seattle, that match was one if thw best matches I'd seen live.

I went to a few house shows. My first was in 2005 up in white plains ny for a Smackdown show! I remember Matt Hardy was supposed to face Booker T in a No DQ match and Booker got injured early on. I know Batista was in the main event but I can't remember against who. It might have been either Orton or Mr. Kennedy. It may have even been a tag match.

I've been to one of the biggest shows this year,(Royal Rumble), Raw, Smackdown, and a live event. Mind you, the one I went to took place the same night as No Mercy, so it was nowhere near a packed house, but I can honestly say I had the most fun at the live event. I was able to see the superstars in an entirely new light. Without the handicap of time constraints or being live on tv having to play to the camera, it was a much more fun atmosphere. I was also 2nd row, ringside, therefore, the fan interaction was incredible. I basically had a full conversation with Xavier Woods, Dolph Ziggler verbally owned a fan sitting to the left of me, Mike Kanellis blew a kiss to the woman seated next to me, AJ Styles almost landed in my lap, Shinsuke Nakamura lifted the child in front of me up over the baracade and paraded around ringside with him, he also dropped a fans cell phone. It was a blast. I highly recommend going to one if given the opportunity.

This thread should be pretty awesome, especially if people have pictures of old house shows they went to or even the results, those are always interesting to read.

I love this idea for a thread.
My best house show experience was in spring of 1997, I got to see DDP Vs The Macho Man in the main event. DDP beat Randy in the main event, even though Hall and a couple of other nWo members did a failed run-in. It was my first ever wrestling show going to and it was truly a magical experience that I will never forget. My dad and mom bought me an nWo teddy bear that night and I still have it.

My favorite experience wasn't at a house show but it was at Armageddon 2000 in Birmingham, AL. That main event was everything an AE fan could ask for.
My favorite house show moment was 3 years ago. Jericho got lost on the way to the ring and made fun of himself over it. It was awesome as hell because he wasn't advertised.

Here's another show from 20 years ago that I was at. Hopefully you guys enjoy the results!
WWF @ Tacoma, WA - Tacoma Dome - May 31, 1997 (5,664) Included Brian Pillman cutting a promo in which he belittled the city and said he now knew why Kurt Cobain killed himself Leif Cassidy pinned Bob Holly Blackjack Windham & Blackjack Bradshaw defeated Doug Furnas & Phil LaFon Rockabilly defeated Jesse James Mankind defeated Rocky Maivia via submission with the Mandible Claw The Legion of Doom defeated Crush & Savio Vega Farooq (w/ Savio Vega & Crush) pinned Ahmed Johnson after Crush interfered; Ken Shamrock was the guest referee for the bout Hunter Hearst Helmsley pinned Goldust after Chyna interfered WWF World Champion the Undertaker & WWF Tag Team Champion Steve Austin defeated WWF IC Champion Owen Hart & WWF European Champion Davey Boy Smith via disqualification; after the bout, Austin fought off an interfering Brian Pillman while Taker fought off the Nation
I remember that someone in the crowd threw a full soda cup at Owen Hart and hit him in the shoulder. Owen pointed the culprit out and security removed him.
