So basically now Internet providers are going to intentionally slow down your internet unless you upgrade to a special "deluxe super fast" package.
And if you have Hulu or Netflix, they are going to block it or slow it down and force you to subscribe to their own streaming services.

Sadly, not shocking at all. I mean for crying out loud, the head of the FCC, worked prior for Verizon, of course, he's going to push for a ruling, that favors the companies making more money, over the fairness to consumers.

Corruption at it's worst. At what point is it in the best interest of the people and not already too powerful multi billion dollar companies?

It wont be all bad maybe they could do a service where u buy each website u want instead of expensive packages. Like $2 per site would be fair and plus the goverment wont spy no more

That's beyond insane 2. That isn't how this is going to work. Just as a quick example, let's say that you have Comcast and let's also assume that Comcast comes out with their own streaming service. The problem is that you are a Netflix subscriber and you don't want to switch to Comcast's service. So what they can do is purposely slow down your connection to Netflix in order to "persuade" you to switch to their service. You know, because republicans love free market capitalism so much.

Im not really worried about it. I wasnt for the repeal but at the same time I highly doubt anything drastically changes. Companies like Comcast, Charter or AT&T cant even give us consistent coverage for the internet. No way do they try to dive into their own streaming services (larger then the garbage they already have) only to lose money.
I feel like the worse case scenario will be ISP's charging streaming sites like Netflix a "fee" so they can chip into their profits but Netflix would still be available at a reasonable cost.
Its pretty simple, if 3-4 years ago Netflix would have came out and said "hey we're raising the fee for our service to $12.99" most people would be like "ok thats cool still a great deal"....yet politics get dragged into things and now if you say its $12.99 some people are going to go ape crap over it....nevermind the fact that a few years ago they would be perfectly fine paying the same price. They just dont like others getting a share of the pie.

Dang hopefully The United States can fix this. I know a bunch of states are suing The FCC because of this. Its totally unfair how 3 guys made a decision on how the Internet should work over MILLIONS of people who use it. I barely knew about this about a month ago its crazy how most people I know didn't. Even now that Net Neutrality has been repealed most people I know still don't care about it. This is a HUGE deal for ALL of us and we should still fight for the internet. Keep telling people you know and spread the word. We can still save the internet.

The government just ignores 90% of Americans, there's no real point of having a government if they don't listen at all.

The human race existed for thousands of years without the internet so I'm confident we'll all be fine.

Anyone who doesn't think this is a big deal doesn't understand how important and monumentally ed it is. Which isn't at all surprising coming from the double standard republicans. The rampant deregulation we already had has caused the supposed-to-be-illegal monopolies to form. The big ISPs (AT&T, Comcast, Charter and to a lesser extent Verizon) have literally carved the country into defacto territories where they larger don't compete with each other. Because there is no competition -- because the free market has been completely subverted -- these companies get away with charging whatever they want and making very little upgrades to their infrastructure. This is we have among the slowest AND most expensive internet in the industrialized world. Portugal, a country that is impoverished by European standards, has better internet than us. This is what these did when they were marginally regulated. What makes you people think that taking the very few regulations we had away will make things better?
