I'm surprised there hasn't been a thread on this already but the rumor is that he has spinal stenosis. That's the same injury that forced Edge and Steve Austin to retire. Hopefully this one isn't true.

Yeah, it wouldn't shock me if he's done soon if it's true. He's not exactly on the young side, either - wrestling-wise, anyway.

Never been a huge Sheamus fan but it would suck if he has to retire do to this,I know it ended Austin & Edge's careers but both had this years ago and we don't know what extent Sheamus has of it or what type of treatment might have changed in the years since Edge's retirement.
If he does indeed retire he's had a pretty solid career and will be a hall of famer down the line.Again would suck for him if he has to retire and it would end The Bar which is probably one of the best tag teams in the WWE over the last decade or so,but on the other hand maybe this would free up Cesaro and he could finally get a legit singles push.

yeah there are rumors....but yet he wrestled on RAW this week, i would imagine if it was something truly serious they'd keep him out for awhile.
i hope that it isn't true and that he's able to overcome. i dont want to see another talented wrestler have his career cut short.

I heard about that too.... and then on Raw he had like a 15 minute match with Seth Rollins that was very hard hitting and fast pace. So I am not sure what to believe anymore with this story.

Hope not. He's really grown as an inring guy as well as on the mic. Teaming with Caesaro was very good for him.

Edge was still wrestling less than a week before he retired. I'd guess it could be a case of it getting to a point where it's serious enough to have long-term health implications that would force him to quit. Then again, I'm not a doctor, so what do I know.

Dude had some of the most hard-hitting matches. Say what you will about the guy but he has always entertained me.

IMO Sheamus is one of the most underrated talents in the WWE. It will be a shame if he's forced into retirement early.

I really hope it doesn't end up being so serious that he has to retire. I would definitely miss him.

The only place I saw that rumor on was Instagram which means it was most likely garbage fake news

I met sheamus when he was in Golds Gym during wrestlemania weekend this year and hes a great guy. hoping the "report" is wrong. he's a solid talent and deserves to go out when hes ready not be forced out from injury.

could never stand him whatsoever. he emerged in one of wwe’s largest creative droughts so a lot of it perhaps can’t be to his blame.
