My Walmart just has mostly really old series for some reason all of a sudden. It's like they reverted.

I just got back from out of state and while I was out, I Googled the nearest Walmart juuuuust to pop in and see what they had going on. Same results- - no WWE stock. I’m now convinced that there was a dispute between Mattel and Walmart. In this case, I hope Mattel told Walmart to practice self-coitus.

If that were the case, Barbie, hot wheels and every other mattel line would be gone. They have exclusives coming. Most Walmart’s I’ve been to don’t restock before Xmas. Hell, Target didn’t last year

There are a few threads in this forum showing completely empty shelves from all over the country. Why wouldn’t they want to stock for the biggest shopping season? Barbie and Hot Wheels are there and fully stocked. It just appears to be something bigger happening and we aren’t privy to it.

I have been to many Walmarts this month and the WWE section is the only one with no stock in the entire toy department. It's unbelievable really, as this would have been a great opportunity to move older stuff. If Walmart actually thought the Survivor Series end caps would carry over for the entire Christmas shopping season, then I believe they miscalculated, at least in the larger markets. Also, the Survivor Series end caps didn't have basics on them anywhere around where I live. As a result, almost all of the Walmarts have been completely out of basics since Black Friday, if not before that. It appears to be a tremendous missed opportunity for Walmart and Mattel. I will say that there seems to be some intentional calculation on Mattel's part to save the new packaging for the new year at retail. I have not seen anything beyond basic 77, Elite 53, and Battle Packs 48 at any store I have been to, and that hasn't been the case in previous years. Normally during the Christmas season (when packaging is being updated) I see remnants of the new stuff at some point. That hasn't happened this year. Often times Toys R Us (or somebody) will land the Wrestlemania basics right before Christmas as well. I haven't been able to find those either this year.

You people really need to stop being so paranoid. Walmart is not going to stop carrying wwe figures, especially since they have asked for so many exclusives. Because your store employees don’t reorder, does not say anything about them carrying the line or not.

You people really need to stop being so paranoid. I wouldn’t call it paranoia. We are fans of the product and we come to this board to be amongst our own ilk. We also share concerns and when every Walmart is without this product, it raises a concern. Nothing more. We’re all going to live our lives just the same whether Walmart is behind, doesn’t care, making a new deal, or squashing any existing relationship.

E51, E49, E46, E40 all found at Big Lots or Marshalls/TJ Maxx for $8-$10 isn't really a good sign. It kind of looks like that product was produced, but it didn't make it to retail and was sold off to the discount stores. I don't remember seeing that many figures at discount since the Legends' days.

I have visited close to 17 Walmarts this holiday season. In some places, Walmart started putting other toys in the WWE section. I was told by more than one Walmart toy department manager that they cannot get anything in. Here is another one: You can see the WWE flag hanging there indicating what that section is supposed to have. The whole thing is just odd, and they certainly lost some opportunities to make money and grow interest in the product this holiday season.
