I’m really hoping for a first time winner this year. Would they be dumb enough to give it to Reigns in Philly again? Yes they are. But it’s time the Rumble goes back to giving it to a fresh face. Would love to see Balor. Maybe the DX endorsement is a good sign. We know it’s Reigns/Lesnar, but there’s other ways to get to it

Random thought. What if Alexa wins the rumble and challenges Flair? Not to unify to the titles but to straight out become the first dual champion? Flair wouldn't get the shot at the Raw title. It seems like they were setting up something during Raw25

Also what if before 30 makes his entrance in the rumble it's down to 2 in the ring and they double eliminate each other? That makes 30 the automatic winnner. What if 30 is Daniel Bryan when that happens?

What if right before the Rumble match, everyone comes down with the bird flu besides Roman Reigns and he has to eliminate himself to win the Royal Rumble?

Hypothetical: Scale of 1-10 the crowd's reaction if say #4 hits, the lights go out and they come back on and Sabu is in the ring with the iconic pointing pose?
Pretty sure there would be a seismic earthquake if that happened.

There's 12 people missing and there is no restrictions on champions entering since the prize is only a shot at a title. As we've seen in years past, doesn't matter which one.

The only two guys on the roster who really have "Rumble momentum" are Randy Orton and Finn Balor. Balor's was just established thanks to the rub on Raw 25. Orton has been positioned to be one of the only guys regularly talking about the match.
Surely they're not dumb enough to have Orton win again. And Balor winning seems incredibly logical, so they aren't going to do that.
It's gonna be Reigns.

What if The Miz wins and jumps back to Smackdown to face Styles?

Roman isn’t winning the Rumble, but will probably be one of the final two. In order to ensure a positive reaction from the crowd, the winner will eliminate Roman. The winner will be from Smackdown. WWE may even bait the fans by having him go in as #1. The Anti-Roman fans will be terrified by the idea that Roman may go the distance.

I'm confident a Smackdown Superstar is winning again. They've been careful on advertising it this year by saying 'The Winner gets a Championship shot at Wrestlemania', rather than 'Will Main Event Wrestlemania', which makes sense since we know Brock Lesnar vs Roman Reigns is headlining the show regardless of who wins the Rumble. Plus, with it being in Philly again, I just don't think they'll want to have a complete repeat situation of what happened last time when Roman won it. The main reason being, is not so much the reaction he'll get live, but the distance to go until Wrestlemania. 3 months is still a huge amount of time to drag out the inevitable feud between the two, which we've already seen, and it also gives fans time to really sour on it and potentially go hard favourite on somebody else, and the last thing Vince wants is another Daniel Bryan situation. I'm pretty confident that despite how illogical the WWE are, that they'll realise that having Roman win the Elimination Chamber is a lot more short and sweet, quickfire and will give little room for fans derailing the programme.
With AJ most likely being the Champion heading into Wrestlemania, it only makes sense for his Match to be the WWE's attempt at a more '5 star classic', and they've kept him and Shinsuke Nakamura apart on purpose. Despite everything bad with the way Nakamura's time has gone, the Match itself would captivate the 'smarter' crowd and they may just reward them with this, plus it's been a long time since fans have truly left the Rumble positively happy with the outcome. It won't feel as important as it still wont be the headline Match, but it's better than Lesnar and Reigns dragging out for another 3 months. The interesting thing for me, is how Reigns is eliminated and who by.
Of course, there's still time for John Cena to win it if they want to go with the social media PR frenzy with the record win on the big stage, but I feel like they'd have kept the Title on Jinder if so, and really don't want to see AJ Styles vs John Cena yet again.
I'm leaning my pick on Nakamura, but quietly hoping it's Daniel Bryan.

WWE love heel vs. face, especially at Pay-Per-Views... mainly WrestleMania.
No chance we get Styles/Nakamura.
