I am wondering if perhaps Dolph is really on his way out of WWE, and this was his swan song? I know there had been rumors for a while that he was considering retiring . . . What do you all think?

Dolph recently told Edge & Christian on their podcast that he's going to have to make a decision regarding his future "very, very soon." So, it's pretty likely that his deal is almost up, or was already up and he signed one or more short term contracts. Who knows what he'll do.

I honestly don't know what's going on. Did he already re-sign so they gave him the US title as a thank you? Did they give it to him to **** with the fans who knows he's leaving? Was this all done to get the title off of Corbin without giving it to Roode? I dunno, but it has my attention.

I know there will be more people who hate this than like it, but I want him gone. The sole reason being my fascination to see him in the Bullet Club. As much as I've liked his 'Give no s' gimmick, albeit there is nothing really there, I feel like his eccentric, charismatic side could flourish in the Bullet Club and give him all the interest back that he once had. Plus, he's got a fine Superkick. So yeah, I think he'll be gone soon and I think he knows he has many other options out there that will give him more joy in job than he experiences now.

He'll never leave. If he did, he couldn't complain about being criminally underused in WWE, which is his whole life.

If Dolph says he’s leaving, my guess is that he’s staying. I’m willing to bet that this yet another Dolph story that goes nowhere and leaves him right where he already is.

Doubt it, every year we get the “Dolph is leaving” rumours. It’s become the new “Taker vs. Sting planned for WrestleMania” yearly rumour from a few years ago lol

I could see him putting over an up and comer for the strap at WM, then announcing his retirement the next night.

Let him go, allow him time to regroup and flourish on the indie scene - that will make his return that much more special and worthwhile. Dolph needs a break from the horrible situation in WWE he's perpetually stuck with!

Can we brand this... The Winter of Dolph? You know, instead of the "Summer of Punk"

Dolph Ziggler would do well outside of WWE. Even if he never went to Impact Wrestling, he could have matches in NJPW and ROH, PWG and even if he ended up in Lucha Underground somehow. If used right, Dolph could be an asset most anywhere. But you see, the thing about Dolph Ziggler is that people say he sucks and I agree. It's not that he doesn't have talent, it's that he's squandering it. He'd rather waste away, misused by WWE than go make waves somewhere else. It makes no sense. But if Dolph Ziggler was too scared to explore opportunities outside of WWE last year, the year before, etc. and has simply become happy in his role of mediocrity I don't think any of that is going to change this year.

He's being kept off TV for a while but will still work house shows. It's just another angle. Now they can build him up and give him a good Rumble return and showing but we know the ball would be dropped on that. Dolph needs to use new moves instead of being HBK.2.0. I just see him doing the gimmick Jericho did with the being all serious, suit wearing, deal.

Can we brand this... The Winter of Dolph? You know, instead of the "Summer of Punk" As long as we all acknowledge that next summer is finally the Summer of Geroge.
