Wrestling fans at shows just get more stupid as time goes on it seems. I think the reason why it never happened as often in the 80s and early 90s is because a wrestler would go after a fan if the fan attacked the wrestler. With the 'PG policy' now, wrestlers almost have to take the abuse because it looks badly on the WWE if one of their own fought back against the fan. I don’t think wrestlers not fighting back really has anything to do with PG. It’s more to protect the wrestler from legal action. If a fan does something, security handles it, and the fan complains, it could still hurt WWE. However, if security handles it, the fan can’t sue the wrestler and the wrestler could possibly even sue the fan. Also, it may be easier in court for WWE to defend themselves in court if security handles it. Back in the day, people weren’t so quick to sue and try to make a quick buck. Back then if someone hurt a wrestler and that wrestler kicked their ass as a result, they were more likely to understand that they earned the beating. Now, people almost try to start something so they can maybe get a settlement.

This greatly irritates me because I like to drink water from a bottle at shows (as opposed to a flimsy cup that easily gets knocked over and makes a mess). Also hate having a lake of beer on the floor on either side of me.
No wonder they generally don't allow bottles or caps in arenas. One idiot like this every year ruins it for tens of thousands every day.

Seriously? A water bottle caused him to get stiches? Was it filled with concrete?

Seriously? A water bottle caused him to get stiches? Was it filled with concrete? The part where the cap screws on is very hard. If that catches you at the right angle, it can bust you up. Especially if the plastic hasn’t been clipped perfectly flush (it happens more than you’d think) and it makes a point that can cut.

Seriously? A water bottle caused him to get stiches? Was it filled with concrete? If you watch the video the bottle cap hit directly his mouth causing him to require stitches inside his mouth not on the outside. So he was injured because someone felt the need to throw the bottle. It just so happen to catch him in a sensitive spot on his head.

What a complete waste and piece of garbage to do something like that. I remember hearing on one of the podcasts they caught the scumbag and hope it's true. The saddest part is that it was probably a so-called adult.
