TheLastDude I bet I could have come up with 100 rules and you’d have a gump response to all. Sad!

It appears my post was over most of your heads. I apologize. It wasn't over anyone's head. Don't get upset because people disagree

You know, if there’s one thing gimmick matches need, it’s more rules.

Unpredictability is the name of the game and is what the rumble is all about. Having said that some semblance of order And consistency is paramount. There is no such thing as order and consistency in an unpredictable environment. I mean that...I, I don't even know how to respond to that. TheLastDude I bet I could have come up with 100 rules and you’d have a gump response to all. Sad! I'd bet money that you could come up with 100 rules too. It appears my post was over most of your heads. I apologize. It wasn't over anyone's head. Don't get upset because people disagree People don’t disagree, they aren’t even thinking about it. The common shtick on these boards is to mock and and take opposite stance no matter what. No, we all got it. The problem is that none of your ideas work. The only one you put out there that the majority of people would actually agree with (people not being eliminated by someone who isn't an active participant in the RR), doesn't work for the simple fact that they use that to further storylines. As irritating as it is, it serves a purpose. Future is right, don't get upset just because your ideas got shot down. If you had a good idea that would have worked, I would have said so. You think every meeting is going to go the way you want it to? No. Lots of ideas get shot down. And then someone comes up with the idea for a movie about a tornado filled with sharks. Do that, and make your million dollars.

Your rules would legitimize the match a bit more for sure. I like consistency too, I'm picky about these types of things myself.
I don't like how rules are a matter of convenience and are subject to change without warning on a situational basis.
Example: Tonight on Smackdown the tag titles got reversed because of an instant replay call, this is only brought out as a plot device. They pull the refs decision is final call every other time and the match stands.
Some people hold pro wrestling to a pretty low standard because it's a work, I just can't. I want the angles to be consistent and linear, and the rules to be as comprehensive and consistent as the other sports I watch.
Sue me.

One rule I would like to see added to the Royal Rumble and the period of time leading up to WrestleMania is No Pointing At The WrestleMania sign!!!!! It is so overplayed and I find it cringy as hell.

As long as the participants are introduced every two minutes It is fine as it is. Don’t try to reinvent the wheel. If it isn’t broke don’t fix it. Personally I enjoy the outside eliminations, cowards hinding under the ring until the end, etc.

I too like the unpredictability of the Rumble and would not be a big fan of these rules if they were implemented, however I appreciate the time it took for you to come up with these ideas to give people something to think about and discuss. As for the majority of the people who responded with unnecessary rudeness or felt they should reply in a condescending manner (which by the way, was not funny in the slightest), maybe try being nice for a change?
Happy new year I guess

You know, if there’s one thing gimmick matches need, it’s more rules. Scrap the Royal Rumble entirely and institute an annual King of the Mountain match. It would have to be a four hour PPV because Cole would need thirty minutes to explain all the rules to Booker T.

I agreed with every rule and think they would benefit the match. Good ideas, and it would be cool to name those rules off of the examples you gave (the Kofi rule for example) to memorialize those guy’s contributions to shaping the match.

I love the Royal Rumble. Best event of the year! if WWE just added these Rules & Regs it would be Perfect! 1. Explain the qualification Process. This year a few guys tweeted out that they are entering, is that all it takes? How did Drew Carey get in? My solution is to just say it's an invitation only event given my the McMahon's. Therefore surprises entrants can be maintained. 2. What ever the time domain is between entrants (1min, 90sec, 2min) needs to be consistent across the board. Last few years it has gotten way out of hand with time between entrants ranging from 30sec -3min in the same rumble match! My solution is to have a running clock not just a 10 sec. clock. 3. Superstars have 10 seconds to enter after the clock buzzes for their spot. 4. Superstar who exit the ring other than being eliminated have 10 seconds to reenter (lawler rule). 5. Superstars can maintain legality in the match when one foot hits the floor only if they are in contact with the top rope. (kofi rule) I do enjoy the Kofi spots but they are played out. If opposite feet hit one after the other they are eliminated. 6. No valet's or managers allowed at ringside. 7. Superstars can not be eliminated by a non legal entity (hulk/sid rule). Superstar must reenter within 10 sec of freedom from the nonlegal entity. 8. 1 entance per superstar (mick foley rule) Who would have entered in those spots in '98 if Cactus lasted longer? 9. Show a lot of Refs and Security/lumberjacks to insure rules are followed and time limits are maintained. Have a ref escort the entrant with a 10 sec count, etc. 10. It needs to be very clear that violations of rules will lead to large fines and possible termination from the WWE. What do you think? "Dude just enjoy the show" I will and always have just trying to make it better. So many problems in the sense that WWE would find ways to show how the rule is to be applied by making these eliminations in the Royal Rumble. For example, WWE would A) Have one wrestler eliminated by ducking out for more than 10 seconds (Rule 4) B) Having one wrestler be eliminated by failing to get tot he ring in time because of a trip and fall (Rule 3) C) Make a spectacle of a manager getting ejected at ringside. Probably towards the very end when its down to final 5 wrestlers. Example: Apollo Crew is about to be eliminated, Titus runs down. Refs all distracted, Crews gets thrown out, runs in and eliminates someone else just as the ref sees it. (Rule 6) D) Wrestler gets pulled out of ring by non-legal entity and beat down. 10 second count. eliminated (Rule 7) It would just be a clustermess if this was all added. That said, I agree. If WWE could just state the rules without having to weavethem into a storyline, great.
