Anyone else have a favorite movie, but hate one or two characters in it?
One that immediately comes to mind for me is Jar Jar Binks from Star Wars: The Phantom Menace. I don't think I need to explain why.
Six-Horse Judy from The Hateful Eight is another one. I think it was a combination of the New Zealand accent & her over the top cheerfulness that did it. Glad she got what she did.
Kateesha from Fifty Shades of Black. I only sat through this movie because a friend of mine wanted to watch it. What a filthy, annoying character she was. (Both Kateesha & my friend.)
Anyone else care to add?

Maggie Gyllenhal ruined the Dark Knight for me. I honest to God cannot stand her face and I don’t know why. Movie should be a 10/10 for me but it isn’t.

Before Jar Jar, there was Willie Scott. Never forget, Dr. Jones.

Most of my favorites are typically my favorite because I find every aspect of the film to be great or perfect to my taste. Now the other side of that is that there are a few films that would have been better, and I potentially would have watched more than once if they had cast someone else. The first that comes to mind is The Devil's Advocate. Al Pacino was about to go full steam ahead in "Bad Pacino" performances, but this one had the potential to be a classic. Keanu Reeves is absolutely terrible in the film though. I didn't like Reeves at that point, and still don't, but wanted to see Al Pacino.

Nick Van Owen in The Lost World Jurassic Park. He was an eco terrorist that got a lot of people killed because of his actions

Family Guy made a joke about that If you've ever seen the special features on the Temple of Doom DVD, Spielberg gives a cringe worthy line about her. He says "Indiana may have gotten Willie in the movie, but I got her in real life!" Then he makes this gross snorting giggle.

I dont think she ruined it but god she's such a step down from Katie Holmes....Katie isnt a knockout but Maggie is just...WOOF!! I mean seriously you have a Billionaire playboy who moonlights as Batman and a big time District Attorney and they booth swoon over someone that looks like Droopy dog....cmon man.

I can't say I like Audrey Hepburn much. She always kind of annoyed me but it wasn't her that killed 'Breakfast at Tiffany's' for me, she was actually endearing in that feature. It was the overtly racially stereotyped cartoonish portrayal of the Japanese character Mr. Yunoshi by Mickey Rooney. It's not that it's just incredibly racist, I can handle that, but it's just so over the top it's a distraction.

The happening
Could of been a great movie, but Mark Wahlbergs garbage acting ruined it for me.

Leo in The Departed and 95% of The Wolf of Wall Street So the main character is your problem? What did Leo do in the departed that put you off it?...I agree on WoWW...such overratedness.

Never had a character ruin a movie for me, that I can think of.
Television is different. I almost give up on Shameless each season because of Fiona. Her being hot and getting naked all the time is not a good enough reason as to why I should like her. She is an annoying terrible character who makes me want to stop watching halfway through most episodes. If it’s wasnt for the rest of the cast being incredible, I probably would quit watching.
