I really liked them, actually. Just speaking the truth. She either killed herself for selfish reasons or od'd to kill herself. Or od'd. I'd bet money on it....wanna put some down?
Anyway, Their first album was one of the most demanding debuts at its time. And it is fantastic.
Maybe a little humor is my way of dealing with it. And Zombie was/is a cool song anyhow. Everybody Else Is Doing It, So Why Can't We? is a great album though. I never got into the rest as much as that one, but I dug 'em.
People die all the time. I think she would have found it funny since she was so morbidly depressed all of the time and on/off the edge but unwilling to seek help. Truly. Maybe she would have giggled at the morbidness to the joke.
I liked their music. I didn't know her personally. I never met her. I DIDN'T KNOW HER. But I do know her kids did. And I do know about 4yrs ago she OD'd in a suicide attempt, and that isn't cool.
And my comment? It wasn't nearly as bad when I see half the things people say about the LIVING on here.... maybe a bit tacky or "too soon" but nothing you won't see on a comedy sketch in the near future!....
May she rest in peace. I'll retract the joke and edit it out if it's ruled she didn't OD.

Linger was the song my wife and I danced to at our wedding. I loved the Cranberries as a kid and the movie Click introduce them to my wife, which as also our movie.
As far as the "zombie" joke. Its pretty tasteless man... She had back problems and likely OD'd on pain killers, but the toxicology report will tell all.

yeah but she also had kids and was suicidal. What will they think of their mom? Doubt they care if she was the cranberries' lead singer.
It's sad but man, i've seen so many real friends od on junk I guess i've lost empathy for it.
