It's been a while since the official release of the Mattel Elite Raw ring, and to those who purchased it, do you think it's as good or better than the WKT version?
I'm really contemplating picking it up to replace my current ring and redo my arena display, but just how bad do the issues of the low ropes and lack of two-piece ring steps bother you?
Hoping to get some opinions to persuade me one way or another.

It’s a mixed bag. There are parts of it I like better but parts I don’t.

On the topic of the elite scale rings...
Anyone else think that the ring (wkt) looks too big?

I thought they were the same ring. I thought Wickedcooltoys purchased the mold from Mattel.

Hoping to get some opinions to persuade me one way or another. Are you talking about the new Main Event ring with Goldberg? Or the original Mattel Elite Scale Ring from 2010? Because that one is the exact same mold as the WCT ring. If you're talking about the Goldberg ring, I like it a little better but mostly because of the size. If the WCT ring was a fewer inches smaller in diameter, I'd like it best. The Goldberg ring is too small in scale. The posts are too short and the ropes have a smaller gap between them. However, it somehow looks to be of higher quality than the WCT ring despite posts and turnbuckles being one piece. I actually got two rings for $60 each on Black Friday and combined pieces without the LED button posts so that I could raise all the posts higher. It's been that way for nearly 2 months now and nothing popped out of place. It's still pretty sturdy. The plastic turnbuckles don't bother me at all. I kinda like them. Nor does the fact that the steel steps are one piece. The ropes are still too close together which sucks. Also I think the ring isn't high enough off the floor, but I don't notice much. I can still slam people's backs into apron, so it doesn't bother me.

the Mattel Raw ring is not worth $100 even with the inclusion of a Goldberg figure
with $100 you could get the WCT Raw ring for $57 and a package deal of ringskirts for $4

The WickedCoolToys one is way too big, IMO. I wanted to display it somewhere but the thing is massive. That's the only negative about it.
I wish they'd make a ring in the same scale as the Jakks Hardcore Ring. It wasn't too small, wasn't too big.

I like the wct ring for taking pics but I will agree that the main event ring is way better for play. When playing the shorter ring post and ropes really don’t matter. It is also pretty tough and very well designed. The light up ring post is cool for pics though.

On the topic of the elite scale rings... Anyone else think that the ring (wkt) looks too big? Yes. I think it is the right height, but too wide. The Mattel Raw elite ring is closer to the right width but the ropes are too low.

Bandalero can attest that you need 2 Mattel Raw Rings to make it semi-passable, which means you need to fork over $200 (add shipping, handling, and tax) to get a better product no way in friggin hell i would pay $200 for a "better" ring with these glaring issues and just to get Goldberg

I prefer the ESR since is the first one i have only gotten, because is easier, even tho is huge and is really hard to display in a table. But the new RAW ring is to much price for something that only have a LED light on one side and the poles. Plus the turnbuckles are like the basic ring and that eliminates the authentic feeling of a ring. I will stick to my ESR and all the ring skirts i have gotten for it.

ASR/ESR are more in scale than the Raw Main Event Ring. WWE rings are 20’ x 20’ inside the ropes and 22’ x 22’ overall. So if you’re dong a 1/12 scale you want the area inside the ropes to be 20” x 20” and not the entire ring itself. It is bigger and takes up a lot more room but if you’re wanting authenticity then you want the ESR/ASR. If you want something that’s close enough to scale and more representative of the current ring then the Raw ring is for you.

I like the esr better. I do agree and think it's tad too big, I wish it was like one inch shorter. I strongly dislike the main even ring because I do not like the aesthetic look of the main event ring, but also hate the short ring posts and plastic turnbuckles. I wish Mattel would make something along the size of the main event ring but with the accessories of the esr.

I like the raw main event ring so much that I gave the ASR away. It is my favorite ring ever. Goldberg and the announcer chairs are a very nice bonus too.

I maybe bias because I am more of an old school fan, so the new Main Event ring with the fancy LED ring posts and basic style turnbuckle pads does nothing for me. I have 7 ASR/ESR's
