Is my job ripping me off over my commission rate? Jan 25, 2018 16:49:21 GMT -5

Hello WFITGS, at my job I have been at for a while recently promoted me to a senior sales position within the company. We specialize in in ground swimming pools and the parts/chemicals that go along with them.
Every February we have a largest discounted sale of the year. We make cold calls to those who order yearly and whatnot. But I feel as if I'm kind of getting screwed here over these chemical sales.
My Manager told me today that the commissioned items that I sell will give me 2% of the unit price (price after discount is applied). Not to mention that it isn't off of the total sale, but off of select items.
So today I've sold about $3k in sales so far and it will pick up soon. So say I sell that much in a day I'm not even getting more than $100 in commission, while the company (which is a smaller family-owned company) that is very successful turns crazy profit i'm sure.
I did not know where to post this and I just wanted to make sure I am not getting totally screwed over here?
Thank you guys!
