Hey guys, I’m a classic/flashback collector (87-94ish) and I haven’t made the leap and purchaced a ring yet. I have always just displayed my loose collection but now I’m ready to get a ring and set up an awesome display. What is my best option to achieve the look I’m going for? I can’t seem to find the classic cage set on ringside anymore. Which authentic scale ring would work best with the cage set if I can find one on eBay or amazon? Is there any word on a new classic style ring to be coming out any time in the future? Thanks for the feedback and ideas.

Your best bet is a WCT ring with the Classic Cage set. I got the RSC version which came with a second exclusive Summerslam apron but the standard one has just the WM II apron. It has everything you need (Blue ringposts, red white and blue ropes, classic turnbuckles) but all you need is a mat and the ring base.
I'd suggest getting RSC ropes though, as the WCT ones are a bit too loose for me, and RSC has some other aprons like Royal Rumble.

They are long gone from the site. It’s a shame too because I remember in the last 6 months or so, they had a ring/cage combo for like $60ish. Should have jumped. Now all I can find are marked up cage sets on the bay and there are not many available. Not the first time I’ve regreted not acting fast in this game unfortunately.

Damn, I didn’t realize it was so hard to get the authentic scale ring and cage accessory now..!? I was thinking about a year ago to get a second one just to keep in the box but I started to think that was just silly. I wish I had gone and got another now. I’m glad I’ve got the one I have anyways. I love it

I guess my information is a little dated, sorry about that.
A lot of the info is still relevant though, especially the rope issue. Ringside's are leaps and bounds better

I was literally looking at one on eBay someone had. It was missing the steps and a buckle pad. I went back and it was sold. Did someone on here go buy it?!? I guess I’ll be waiting lol

Hey, I am in the same boat, unfortunately it looks like both of us are late to the party. I have been focused on completing my collection that I didn't pay any attention to getting a ring. Now that I decided to get one, its too late. As others have mentioned, the best option for us that want the old school ring is the WCT Authentic scale ring with the classic steel cage which comes with the accessories to convert the RAW ring into the an old school ring. Bad news however, I contacted Wicked Cool Toys last month and they told me that the classic cage play set has been discontinued so they won't be making any more. At this point the only option (unless you find the cage set somewhere) is to purchase the RAW ASR from Ringside with the Royal Rumble ring skirt and wait for them to re-stock the red, white & blue ring ropes (which I believe will be in stock again at some point). I would jump on it if you are in the USA as the ring might sell out as well at some point. Unfortunately, I live in Canada and with shipping, duties and currency conversion, the ring will end up costing me between $120-150 which is too high and way over my budget. You Americans are lucky, the shipping costs there are much lower, times like this I wish I had a friend in the USA so I could ship the ring to them and then go down and pick it up. I was actually looking at the same item- ha ha! I passed on it though because it was too expensive IMO considering it was missing one of the turnbuckles. I actually have not found many listings for the classic cage set, it looks like most people who bought it are holding on to it or perhaps they already re-sold it?! I find eBay to be full of Greedy SOB's that charge 3 or 4 times the retail cost- its a friggin' toy, I am not paying these inflated prices. My advice- be patient, keeping checking around and eventually a reasonably priced listing will show up.

That’s what I’m gonna do, just keep checking and hopefully one will come along. It just sucks knowing I’m going to have to over pay. eBay sure can be the devil sometimes.

Anyone know for sure if RSC will be getting any more ring ropes in stock? I need some black ones, but they've been out of stock for awhile now.

i've heard horror stories that the RSC ropes break WCT posts, so be wary of purchasing them It's a tight fit. They really tug on the posts and cause them to lean in a bit, but mine haven't snapped yet, thank God.

I don't see why not- these ropes are a Ringside product are they not?! I noticed they are packaged with the Ringside Collectibles logo on them so I presume that means they have some company that makes them for them and they sell them as their own product.

I actually just messaged them about this a couple of days ago because I need a set of red ropes. They said that they should be getting more ropes in the near future, but no set date.
