Now let me explain myself here.
I absolutely love NXT figures. I own every single figure minus a few from all the waves. Despite this though, I can't help but dislike that now all NXT figures HAVE to be in the NXT line. This wasn't really very upsetting to me until the case of Aleister Black. He was slotted for two series up, Elite 60. He was then replaced by Xavier Woods in the line, presumably to be placed into NXT wave 4. Now we have to wait what seems to be months longer just because of this change. But having to wait a few months extra for Black isn't why I made this thread.
I fear this line will cause a pile up of NXT figures with the model of only 4 elites and 4-6 basics. For example, SANitY debuted almost 1.3 years ago, and not even basics have been rumored. This is a huge issue, considering new stars are constantly getting signed, like Richochet, War Machine, and LeRae; or new stars are appearing like Velveteen Dream and Lars Sullivan. This is especially going to remain true if Mattel sticks guys like Reigns, Rollins, Rusev, Owens, and Zayn in there taking up even more space. On average this leaves about two elite spaces for NXT guys, and 2-3 basic spaces. This is most certainly going to cause back up, with guys like Kassius Ohno, Roderick Strong, and Eric Young going to have to wait years for Elite figures. This isn't even mentioning how only 1/3 of the NXT Elite figures were actually IN NXT when there figures got released. Something needs to be done or else the pile-up will get too big.
There are three solutions in my opinion.
One, the ideal solution, is allow NXT figures to remain in the elite line, while also having its own sub-line, like flashbacks do.
Two, the second best solution, is to have only current NXT superstars in the line. (I know mattel has to slate the line-ups early, and can't help it if a star gets called up before the release, but at least avoid putting flashbacks of guys that are already on the main roster. Put those in the elite line.)
Three, is upping the figure count to 6 Elites and 8 basics if there has to be current guys in there, so that way it's not limited to a very few amount of current stars.
Let me know what you think, and if you guys are also worried about the pile-up

I dislike that it’s a store exclusive, and a huge pain in the @$$ to find, but love the figures & carding

I just dislike the fact that it's store exclusive so I have to pay about £80 after shipping to get a basic Johnny Gargano. That is some horsesh*t and Mattel knows it is.

If they’re going to keep using NXT flashbacks then I wish the series would be 6 figures.

I agree with everything said, they should stop it and start integrating the NXT guys back into the normal and basic lines. I used to be excited to see NXT guys announced as basics and elites, but being from the UK I now hate it because I know they will be next to impossible to get a hold of eg, I'm looking at paying upwards of £60+ to get AOP basics don't even want to think about how much Undisputed Era/Sanity/Black/Velveteen would set me back. It's ridiculous

I mostly don't like the character choices.
Elite series 1 I liked Rollins and bayley, Aries seemed questionable, but Jose? Really? Series 2 was solid. Series 3, was anyone really begging for reigns or rusev?
The basics, why another Owens, zayn, itami?
Why roode as a basic and elite?
Just not feeling it

I really wish the NXT Line was a actual line. I want elites of
Pete Dunne Aleister Black Johnny Gargano Undisputed Era Roddy SAnitY Dream Ohno and Lars Sullivan
And I know I'm probably gonna have to wait over a year maybe TWO! Just to get a lot of these guys. If they produced the line like a actual line I'm pretty sure most of these guys would be some of the first figures produced. Under the current line up style I'm pretty sure it's gonna be a very long time before I get them
Damn now I'm really pissed!

There's no reason for these to be store exclusives. Every wave in basics we get an orton, cena, Seth, miz, reigns, etc. pull them out for nxt basics. Same with elites. Wasted on nxt reigns, rusev, Seth, nakamurA. Get rid of them and put in nxt elites in the main line people want like black, McIntyre, sanity, etc. you want to make stuff exclusive make it ringside exclusive. These figures become too in demand for them to be relegated to store exclusives where 3/4 of the people can't even access the store to buy them. Just my opinion.

First was he (Black) officially scheduled for series 60? As in confirmed by MDT to be part of series 60 or was it speculated off another rumored lineup?
Now as for the NXT line itself. I have no problem with it being a store exclusive line sub line and not part of the core line. And like every other line other than the Legends line I don't purchase every figure they release. There's even Flashbacks I pass on if I wasn't a fan of theirs...so the NXT line is the same way. Here are the ones I purchased or plan to purchase so far...
Elite - Rollins Aries Roode (when I find it)
Basics- Roode Balor w/ring Dillinger Itami (mainly for a custom) Almas
As for putting them in the core line and cutting out guys like Cena, Orton, Reigns, Rollins, Ambrose for NXT wrestlers it's not going to happen. Those are the face of the WWE and with he exception of Ambrose (at least around here) none last very long and are gone by the time the next series. It has been that way since Jakks had the line. There were always Rock, Austin, Triple H and Undertaker figures in every couple waves because they're the established stars. And they knew for every collector and kids who had them already there were always going to be new collectors and kids daily who would be buying their first.

I love NXT, and it is what got me back into wrestling after not watching for more than a decade. But I'm very happy with the current configuration. Keep things in perspective - for years there were zero NXT figures, period. And as recently as a year or two ago the only hope of figures were Elites of the main eventers and maybe a chance of a basic of the occasional upper card guy. I actually like the flashback figures, since it opens up opportunities to get NXT figures from before Mattel made NXT elites or some figures that were limited released like Tyler Breeze.
NXT has a tiny footprint compared to mainstream WWE exposure. I'm honestly surprised they created an NXT line at all, and that it has done fairly well. Without it, I doubt we would have Elites of the Revival any time soon, and and probably never would have gotten Aries or No Way Jose. The flashback figures are a necessary tradeoff to appeal to mainstream fans (ie kids) who might only buy wrestlers they're familiar with. When major stars like Angle or the Hardyz sign, their figures get rushed into production and will be on shelves within a year. While some of the NXT signings have you and I super excited, they don't have the kind of marketing appeal to get that same treatment.
I don't think we'll see any of the store exclusive lines expanding. They all have 4 figures per wave, which I'm pretty sure is due to budget reasons. I think the best option to have the NXT line with maybe 1 flashback per series and have guys who are close to debuting penciled into the main line like they've done with The Drifter.
Hopefully the line continues to sell well so that we can actually get figures of all the talent in NXT right now.

Store exclusives are a way to get more SKU’s on a shelf. I hate store exclusives due to The Chummly’s that buy them for resale, but, without the NXT line I doubt we would have the figures we do now through the Elite series.

I absolutely despise it because it's filled with figures I need in my collection, but the line isn't carried by anyone one in Canada.
Sorry for coming off like a broken record everyone xD

There's a reason why Hulk was in every series. I have zero interest in the stream of Cena, Reigns, Braun, etc. But they sell figures. There are a little over 1 million Network subscribers in the US. Low Raw ratings still draw nearly 3 million viewers. NXT just doesn't have anywhere near the same exposure among a general audience or kids.

I personally don't love store exclusive lines but there's a major flaw in your hypothesis -- if there were no NXT line, you'd have like 90 percent less NXT figures because only a handful would be placed in other lines.
