Well there we go! Now Bill has no excuse to eliminate accessories or articulation to our figures. All these excuse of budget cuts is now been proven as just smoke and mirrors.

How is it smoke and mirrors? Do you know how things work? Bill has a set number/price he has to make a set into. Them making a lot of money and selling a lot of merchandise has nothing to do with what’s cut out of a line or budget cuts. It comes into the price of the product. If you don’t want your figures to cost 50$, that’s why budget cuts take place.

It amazes me after the DM Kurt Angle that people are so willing to stand up for Mattel. Things like Surfer Sting figures , painted flesh torsos, and the other lazy cash grabs have left me in a much more critical place. No toy company is perfect, but the cost cutting Mattel has done is just too much. Hasbro does better work for the same price point, and I don't even collect their lines. How about u stop being an bunghole. These people waist there money so they can give them to there kids or put it on a shelf with probly more than 90 figures (like me) so they can look at them and feel better to look at those coloured pieces of plastic. So STOP!!! And Mattel are trying there best to get there figures out. And money cuts are for making more figures come out every year and making them more detailed every year and time they come out.Ok? Stop.

Mattel isn’t the only company guilty of price increases and cost reduction. The toy industry is at an all time low. Walmart’s figure isle has shrunk at an increasing rate per year. Toys R Us is on the brink of shutdown, KMart is essentially gone, Target’s shelfs are shrinking, and most consumers turn to Online Shopping. We are living on a world of minimalists. Where digital media is beating the thought of hunting down shelves to store items thatbis basically a trophy case of wasted money that “Could be a vacation on this one shelf.” The days of selection being no issue at toy stores are dead, and the life of toy hunting is at an all time frustration level. I honestly don’t see action figures being abthing in another decade.

He's a fan and collector just like us, and while there are certainly places to debate parts selection or attires, I don't think any of us can or have grounds to question that he wants to put forward the best wrestling product possible. Decisions on budget and profit margins are made way, way above his head. He works with what he's given. That's just the reality of...most jobs. I'm thrilled the line is doing well. That's great news when Hasbro just released some really rough Q4 financials and toys in general are on the downswing. It's a much more complex issue than a lot of people here like to make it out to be.

Hasbro has been destroying it the past couple years with its ML line. Just killing it, and I can actually find it at retail!

I’m sure Bill would love individual molds for every wrestler, perfect accessories and cloth for every figure, and perfect paint, but sometimes it’s just not doable. I think people also like to forget these are just toys and while some are aimed for adults/collectors it’s still a low end toy. Bill is most likely given nothing but a here’s the numbers we need to hit I don’t care how it works just make it and that like you said is how many jobs are.

But lets not sell short that even "the suits" at Mattel know they work at a toy company, a company that's been around longer than most of us, and not some side show project for another coporation. They know what has to be done, especially today in a market where kids gravitate towards electronics. 10 more years of cost cuts, may mean they'll all be looking for a job.

But it's almost impossible to compare across lines, even at the same price point. The licensing costs for products can be a huge factor, and the cost of licensing will vary by tens of millions depending on the brand. The toys may be at the same price point, but what Mattel pays for the WWE license is probably tenfold what Neca pays for Pedrator.

MattelDesignTeam how’s your ego with all the Bill super fans? Can you tell them how a multi billion dollar company works and that you don’t run the place

Sometimes I wonder how this forum has devolved from people that can have conversations to people that just want to argue and hover over the profile link waiting for replys....

Wow, that's great. I read an article from the LA Times about a week ago about Mattel and how Barbie was barely hanging in there with a 1% increase in sales over last year and most other brands were underperforming...but there wasn't a single mention of WWE in the whole article. I was really wondering what the deal was and how the writer could overlook such a major brand, but I'm glad to hear it's good news!

Don’t blame him Well i think if wwe figures are selling well, maybe they should you know expand this mythical "budget". Still waiting for: Sensational Sherri Greg Valentine Hercules Hernandez WCW Golberg Shouldn't have to wait 7 years to get undisputed jericho and the only reason it was made was it won a wwe.com poll Having polls on what wwe figures to make says "hey we don't know what you wrestling fans want, so you pick".
