So recently I met HBK aka Shawn Michaels when he came over for his uk tour. Got signed his Latest DX ringside exclusive & his autograph came out phenomenal on it great guy aswell...my friend got the same figure but he didn’t take it to get it signed & as he prefers his moc figures without autographs as he thinks it takes the “look” off the figures & devalues them for the future it really surprised me as for me getting moc figures signed is the best part off keeping them packaged & if you own a figure off the wrestler you’re meeting it’s even cooler imo. So got me thinking do you guys that have moc collections perfer autographs on the figures or not? I’ve also added a pole. So yeh what do you perfer when keeping you’re figures moc?

I am not a MIB/MOC collector. The only MIB figures I have are signed or plan to get signed.

I've never understood the appeal of autographed figures. I just don't find them visually appealing, and would much rather get an 8X10 or poster signed that I can display.

I don’t collect MOC but I do have a few signed. They look ok. I think now with paint pens being so popular and making the autograph stand out more than just the regular sharpie is cool. I wouldn’t mind getting some of the exclusives signed since they tend to have some really cool unique colored and gimmick matching boxes

I open up my figures. The only ones I keep MOC are autographed. I have a bunch of autographed HBK figs and a few Seth Rollins' ones, as well. The rest of my figs are opened up and displayed in my Detolf shelves.
OP, can you post a pic of the autographed IYH: DX HBK fig? That's the next Shawn I want to get signed. Just want to see what it looks like.

The only figures I buy are with the intent to keep MOC and get signed. I don't buy any figures I don't think or know I would never get signed, such as of wrestlers who have passed away. I've gone through a few transitions of the best way to get them signed and how to display them. To me, it doesn't take away from the look of the figures at all as it's not like the wrestler ever signs in a way to do so. Some, like Kelly Kelly, even sign away from the actual figure as much as possible. But I've never had a problem with those who write over it. To me, this is better than getting 8x10s and posters signed. I've done both. 8x10s seem very generic to me and you quickly forget about unless you've hung them up on your wall. And posters take up way too much space to make it a regular thing. I feel like if you get certain figures signed, like the RSC exclusives, you enjoy it more than just getting a generic everyday item signed. Here are the MOC figures I have signed forum.wrestlingfigs.com/thread/327361/collection-signed-mattel-mocs

Signed. The only moc figure I have that isn’t signed is a legends 1 stone cold. Besides that one the only time I buy I figure to keep moc is if I’m gonna get it signed.

I can't keep anything MOC, it's too stressful for me. Gotta worry about taking care of them, and then if I don't buy doubles and it's a reaaalllly nice fig....it's all over for that carding. plus holy heck to MOC toys take up a lot of space, the only things I keep unopened are Hot Wheels.
