My wife is cool. She intercepted both Iron Sheik and Honky Tonk Man when they arrived in the mail recently. Obviously they were for me since my kid is a) too young for that generation and b) couldn’t give a rats sass about wrestling figures anymore.

I quit with being a wrestling fan in 2000 and met my wife in 2001. Not much thought about wrestling for 12-13 years except she knew I used to be a fan. I was trying to get my 2-3 year old son to play video games with me so I got wwe2k13 and then 14 and we loved those and he knew all the old guys. I wrestled with him myself and taught him a bunch of moves and the names of the moves and my wife found it all very cute in a way. We were trying to come up with ideas for Xmas presents and I think she thought of the idea of action figures like ninja turtles or marvel superheroes. I naturally jumped into researching wrestling figures and became a little obsessed. I was buying past figures on the secondary market that were going up in value but I am quite hard lined about spending money so there were figures I would want but I wouldn’t buy. So she looked into buying some for me as presents and saw for herself how much money these things could sell for. Fortunately she backed out of the secondary market hunt because she realized she had no idea what she was doing. I kept her and my son in the loop about what I got and how much it was and also we’ve sold off some figures together on the secondary market and I showed my son how it worked. I’ve been very selective with what I buy. But my wife even suggested at one point that I start a business of selling figures lol. My son doesn’t play with figures anymore but once every 2 or 3 months I’ll add a figure. As long as I keep being strict with myself then it’ll all stay cool.

Haha Intercepted You have Honky Tonk Man though so you are now a better person in my view. (Not that I thought you were a bad person). Honky Tonk Man was my first ever figure

Aww, you’re still luckier than me! Mine won’t help me get them in any way, she even refuses to get them for my birthday or Christmas! It’s fine though, I’ve still managed to get me a pretty decent collection!! Same. #HeelWife#HeelLife I’ve gotten to the point over the past ten years being with her, that if she actually boughy me a toy, I’d think there was guilt behind it. My life exactly lol

My wife helps me pick up figures all the time.
She's my right hand.
Literally.
*sigh*

Ha, my fiancée is a monster heel! She understands I love to collect wrestling figures, but she doesn’t like all the money I spend on them. She always gets annoyed when I get some figures and shouts at me and gives me lectures when the post arrives. (To be fair, we have 3 kids). I’ve ended up buying a load of them secretly either by ordering them to different addresses or opening them before I get home and sneaking them in the house. Luckily, due to her lack of interest in them, she hasn’t realised how much I spent on that Goldberg ring!! I would be in all sorts of trouble! 😆 Very similar to my situation. My collecting has always been in secret, and never been able to be displayed. I'm actually too embarrassed, lol

I'm lucky that my Mrs is almost as geeky as me - she collects Living Dead Dolls and horror figures/merchandise... we were friends first and chatted a lot on Facebook, so both knew about each others collections and interests almost immediately. I love buying her stuff that I think's cool too... I've just bought her the Funko Jaws Retro figure for Valentine's Day, lol (...who says that romance is dead!? ).

My wife is Nikki Bella. She pretends to be a face, but deep down she’s a heel.
She doesn’t complain or nag me about my collecting, but does toss in some jokes occasionally. She enjoys wwe so that probably contributes to her acceptance. Of course i started collecting mattel after being married. She would have ran if i had 300 figures before we started dating.
At 38, I do wonder when I’ll stop. I’m a mix of loose and boxed and also a completionist for all elites and basic women. It’s becoming harder to keep up with and I’m now resorting to sale prices which is making it harder to keep the collection up.

At 38, I do wonder when I’ll stop. I’m 41 and I said I can call it quits once I bought Ken Shamrock. Then Mattel goes and makes an awesome Roddy Piper and a sweet DM Savage with a robe. Then I see an Iron Sheik online for a great price followed by the Honky Tonk Man and now Ricky Steamboat is slated to come out soon. If he’s WMIII with title or robe, well, I HAVE to get him. I’ll stop when the 80’s figures stop getting produced.

Every girl is different.
If I've learned anything about women it's this, they're all like a refrigerator, about 6 feet tall, 300lbs....... no wait...... they're all like beer. They smell good, they taste good, and once you have one you just want another, then another, then another.

Cool story, it's always a plus to have a wife who like/helps you with collecting. Use imgur.com to upload pics.
