I've seen various RA figs /500, and the early Mattel ones /1000. Do they still make limited edition figs anymore?

Not that I’m aware of. They have chase figures that came with a gold strapped WWE title, Slammy awards and most recently MITB briefcase but I doubt they’re considered limited edition 🤔

I wish they did like a 1/100 or something like that. Warrior had a few made that were only 15 but he got them all

Limited Edition is now basically store exclusive lines since they aren’t produced in the same numbers as the regular Elite line.

One of the things Jakks did really well was make their limited edition figures look and feel special. I loved those gold 1/X000 stickers, it really made those figures feel important.

Tito Santana. Doesnt say it on the box though, but they will be worth a ton in a few years. Scoop em up if you can find em.

I wish Mattel made variants. I remember when they made the purple debiase and Jericho. They could easily do this with someone like Bret for his wcw run and just knock them both out.

Store exclusive figures are technically limited edition.
I could see action figure lines adopting the chase figure

Store exclusive figures have fairly limited runs compared to figures that get a worldwide release. Same goes for the RSC exclusives. I've never been a big fan of chase figures/variants. It tends to encourage speculation in the secondary market, and can distract focus from the main line figures. Funko is an extreme example, but their collectors treat the main release figures as hot garbage even though chase figures often have minor differences from the normal figures.
I think Mattel has struck a nice balance shortpacking some figures that may not sell well and building a ton of different lines to get as many figures as possible out to the public. There are already a lot of figures out there for me to chase and it can be tough to keep up at times.

That's basically what US store exclusives are at this point xD

I just saw one at the store the other day. If I had known that I would have picked it up.

No thanks to this. I'm too lazy and old to deal with that BS.

OK, cleaned this mess up and dished out warnings. If I have to clean it again, we're getting more warnings, a lock, and the Woken side of my ban bat may show up.
Chill. The. Heck. Out.
Thanks.

Every figure is limited edition if you think about it, it's a pointless filler word.
