I think it might be a Network special or something because I can't see it being a minor PPV like HIAC or TLC or whatever. Be cool to see what matches are on and what surprise appearances there might be.

Kinda doubt they’ll stick it on the network. Haven’t been in much of a progressive mood of late with the content they put out on there.

This is intriguing. They know they wouldn't draw anywhere near 100k to this, so there's a catch somewhere... But what is it?

Yeah they’re not selling out anywhere near 100k. To be fair, most everyone was saying that for Mania 32

WrestleMania is an event that fans grow up dream of going to - and the majority of attendees are from the US, with the next highest being Canada and the UK. Flights from anywhere in those countries to Dallas (or Orlando, or New York etc) are way cheaper than flights to Australia. I can't see that many people making that trip for "No Mercy in Melbourne" or whatever it'd be called.

How on earth do they get this ahead of the UK getting a PPV at Wembley?! Glass half full side of things - if it all goes to plan it's only a matter of time before it happens imo. I guess so, but you'd think it would be a hell of a lot more of a safer bet testing the waters in London, than Australia which is still a relatively new market and the time difference and flying out all of the equipment etc would be nightmare.

These days there usual tour doesn't come anywhere near selling out so unless they go all out with almost a Mania sized card and part timers they will not sell anymore than 55,000 tickets.

Melbourne is a hotbed for wrestling. We have international stars here all the time, WWE tours, NXT tapings, NJPW tours. Hell, dunno really about it being a new market since Melbourne used to have Andre the Giant, Ric Flair, Harley Race, Dusty Rhodes, Road Warriors, etc. weekly. WCW even did TV tapings here. Melbourne will go for it, but they definitely need to make it special. Even so, I think 100,000 is too much. We have a stadium that holds 60,000 which would be much better fitted.
