I don't believe a word Meltzer says because he couches his stories with qualifiers such as May and possibly. I'm not talking about injury reports I'm talking about how he was the one (if I recall correctly) who reported Cena vs Mysterio. Wwe hyped the dream match as Mysterio vs Styles. If anything we were getting Styles and Mysterio. So while I'm not happy he's injured, I am happy here's not appearing.

Damn. I wonder what they'll do with Cena now? Most people wouldn't want to see it, but I'd love Cena vs Goldberg.

Assuming Taker's legitimately not an option... I'd have Cena extend his storyline search to NXT. Ultimately ending in a Cena vs. Richochet match at Mania. They'd set it up like: After visiting other brands, Cena issues an open challenge, to be answered at WM 34. Ricochet comes out and challenges him at the event...just as Cena did to Kurt Angle back in 2002. No matter the ending, Ricochet goes back to NXT with notoriety, if not moved up to the main roster altogether.
Alternatively, they could do the same thing with Adam Cole, if they wanted to do straight face vs. heel.

I honestly don't think Rey vs. Cena was ever gonna happen anyhow. So it's not like this injury is gonna be problematic for John and his Wrestlemania spot. I still think Taker vs. Cena is gonna happen this year.
