After this weeks SDL this seems to be the way they're heading with the interesting dinamic that Zayn will be a heel.
Anyone who has followed the pairs careers closely over the years will no doubt love the fact that they will get to go at it on the biggest event in pro wrestling, but it seems like a waste of the past half year of storytelling. The pair teaming up has lead to nothing so far. Must also factor in the potential involvement of Bryan and Shane. I'd much rather they weren't involved if they do have a match at Mania but again this needs a payoff.
It's a bit late for them to really do much else but I think many will agree they could and probably should have been utilised much between this year.
It's obviously not concrete and could just be back together come Sunday but I thought it was an interesting topic regardless.

Not really, and if I'm honest, it doesn't feel important enough to be on the Mania card as a singles match just yet. Maybe that changes between now and Mania if they do more with Shane and/or Bryan's involvement. Sami kind of looked like a goof turning on Owens last night with literally nothing on the line. Why wouldn't he wait until Sunday?
The problem with those two is that they've largely been together in some fashion since coming up from NXT. So instead of keeping them apart and only bringing them together to make special moments, they've been attached at the hip. Smackdown has done a really nice job of elevating Sami, though. So I would love to see them build towards something big at Backlash, like a NHB match or a Street Fight or whatever.
A part of me thinks they could tear the house down at Mania, but a bigger part of me thinks they'll be crammed on the card with limited time and it will do them more harm than good. I don't know, I guess I've talked myself into being conflicted about the whole deal. I also kind of wanted to see Sami and Owens win the Tag Titles together before they split. So that could have been a thing at Mania we won't get.

It's happened before and while I'm sure they could put on a good show and probably deserve to put the rivalry on for the big audience im really not into watching it again. I still find it hard to logically see the fact that their friends after how it played out last time they fought on NXT but that's just me. At least they would have something to do I guess

Yeah but it’s getting kind of tiring at this point. They just recycling the same matches over and over. If they actually kept them away and then had a match it would be that much better

Don't have much interest in seeing them square off at Wrestlemania this year, but that has nothing to do with their ability in the ring. It's hard for me to get excited about a feud between two people that has been raging since they both made the main roster in 2016. Maybe it would feel more special if they had had some time apart, or each had achieved significant individual success first. Plus this storyline is a recycled version of what happened between KO and Chris Jericho last year, best buds team up then break up when it becomes clear one is abusing the relationship to boost his own career.
On a separate note, I'm not so sure yet that Sami is really meant to be the heel. It's been heavily emphasized that Kevin wants to use Sami to gain the championship, so in the Fatal 5-Way Zayn rebuffed that notion. That could have enraged Owens and bring out his vicious side against Sami this Sunday, making Zayn the sympathetic face again.

No. They've wrestled each other so often now that it just wouldn't feel special.

It’ll probably happen but I’m not really interested. They’ve fought each other so many times already.
Also, I was so happy to see them working together until they pretty much randomly started arguing.
They’re run over the last few months has been flat out bungled and forgettable.
I would much rather see a build with them challenging for the tag titles.

Yes. They're my two favourite wrestlers on the roster and I've never got sick of their matches - I think switching it up with Sami as the heel and Kev as the face could make things really interesting story-wise and it'd be a completely different match than we've ever seen before from them in terms of heel/face psychology. If I had my way, it'd be Zayn/Owens for the WWE Championship rather than AJ/Nak.

Not yet, no. But if things go smoothly until next year and they have a World title match? Sure.

I just don't know if I could buy Owens as a face yet though and I can't see them going heel vs heel at Mania so you could well be right. Why is No above Yep, Here I thought I was voting for Yep 😂. Yes these two would put on a tremendous match, and I'd be happy to see it over and over again. 🤷♂️ I guess this place has officially turned me into a "half glass empty" kinda guy. Or maybe I just put them in alphabetically.

I'm not so sure. First of all, it would all seem pretty rushed and thrown together without much thought. Secondly, it's a bit of a carbon copy of Kevin Owens' situation last year with Jericho. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure they'd love the chance to get singles time at Wrestlemania against each other, but it's happened a lot, and I think it could be saved for a more meaningful time down the road, potentially for the WWE Championship and Sami Zayn's first win.

Not that they probably wouldn't put on a great match, it just wouldn't make any sense. It would just look on paper like how it actually is, a last minute thrown together match.
Id rather see them, New Day and Usos fight it out in a three way match for the tag titles, perhaps even a ladder match.

I was hoping they'd face the tag champions at WM. But I'm cool with a Sami vs Kevin feud also. Especially if Sami does to Kevin what he usually does to others. Taste of his own medicine sorta thing.
