My hero is Bruce Campbell. I finally get to meet him next Thursday in Dublin at a book signing. Im travelling down on my own and have never attended something like this.
Has anybody here been to one?
If so - please help with with some info if you can.
Ticket site said 'unfortunately, Bruce regrets he cannot pose for individual photos' I completely understand this. A busy man, with alot of books to sign.
BUT - do you think its OK to take a photo of him signing the book? Or ask a member of staff to do it? How do busy book signings usually work with regards to photos?
Just looking some advise. Don't want to annoy the mighty chin himself.
Thanks guys.

Convention appearances are usually pretty straight forward, but book signings can be a strange animal. A lot of it depends on the size of the store, the celebrity involved, the time allotted, and staff/handlers. Your best bet is to go in thinking you're only going to get a few seconds of his time (basically the amount it will take to shake his hand and watch him sign), you'll MOST LIKELY only be able to get the book signed, and you MIGHT be able to get a picture of him at the table, or him signing the book. Go in with slightly lower expectations, so that when you're confronted with an easygoing staff and celeb, you're pleasantly surprised. I don't mean to put you off. I love going to signings of any kind, but be prepared to be shuffled in and shuffled out of this. Have a good time though.
