If you havent checked out this mini series on Netflix do it! Incredible insight into the action figures business. They need to do a wrestling figure episode for sure. You can get the sense of how Mattel Jakks Hasbro go and went about their day to day operations by listening to how star wars, heman, gijoe, and even Barbie do business!

I saw the Star Wars one and thought it was enjoyable. I am not old enough to have been there but I loved hearing the stories about Kenner and the collectors. Plus, I just love Star Wars in general.

I would like to see Jakks WWE and Mattel WWE episodes in the future, but I guess that would change up the series premise.

I won't be watching this show for nostalgia purposes (I'm assuming its about toys from the 1980s/1990s) But I will give it a chance out of pure interest.

Season 2 is up on Netflix now! I gotta say it’s far less interesting than season 1.
In case anyone hasn’t seen the adverts, season 2 has four episodes. We have Transformers, Lego, Star Trek and Hello Kitty. The only one I found as intriguing as the first four is Transformers. I hardly consider Lego, Star Trek or Hello Kitty as iconic as MOTU, Star Wars or GI Joe in the way of toys/figures.
I’m really hoping there is a season 3 coming. I’d love to see better classic toylines like TMNT or Thundercats.

Especially nowadays...I've had knives pulled on me while I worked at TRU during Christmas over those little s.

I thought the Transformers episode was great. I love learning things we never knew in the 80's. Like how Hasbro sold the rights for Japan to make GI Joes. But Japanese kids didn't like playing with toys of American soldiers. So they made him clear and said he was a robot. That eventually lead to Transformers being born. IMO, that's fascinating stuff.
I personally consider Lego to be huge. I still remember when the Robin-Hood Legos came out and thinking they had reached their peak in greatness. I was wrong.

During the 00s I went back and collected the hell outta all the stuff I wanted in the 80s. TMNT, Ghostbusters, Defenders Of The Earth, MOTU, Super Powers, Secret Wars, Centurions, Visionaries, Raiders Of The Lost Ark, Thundercats, Robocop & The Ultra Police, C.O.P.S. and many more. It was one hell of a fun time!!! I jut watched the episode on Transformers and it was great. Watching the Star Trek one as we speak....man what a mis-managed property.....good grief. I LOVE the Playmates ST stuff and have all I need from it but the points they made about the Playmates line were great. Especially about the light & Sound stuff from DS9 onwards......IMPOSSIBLE to get is right.

I got a my favourite Transformers, GhostBusters, MMPR and Thunderbirds toys from eBay. On a side note, I just booked train tickets today to visit Glasgow at the end of July. Can't wait to visit Celtic's stadium for the first time.
