I find it ironic to me that this past Saturday around 9pm as I was leaving the gym, my iphone started playing Jeff Hardy's original TNA Theme and I was thinking "Man, that guy has had it hard. Drug issues and alcoholism. Glad he's doing better."

I thought now that he had a kid he'd be smarter. Addiction has nothing to do with smarts. Its a long struggle, Addicts deserve sympathy and support not scorn and hatred. How can someone be addicted to something which isn't essential for life? I really don't get it

There's 2 kinds of addicts, ones that make a conscious choice to try a hardcore drug and get addicted and those who are say for instance prescribed pain pills for pain or a surgery and then can't wean off them properly and develop an addiction. The latter deserves support and help the former is a POS in my eyes. You don't accidentally do crack, meth or heroin.

I see where you are coming from, and at one point in my life I might have agreed with you. But as I have gotten older I have realized that life just isn't that black and white.

Addicts don't need scorn, angry words or insults, they need support struggling with a disease.

Saw this yesterday and groaned. WWE won't be happy about this...

Guess which Hardy Boyz shirt has seemingly vanished from WWE Shop? (here's a hint, page 3)

He's not going to be fired. Most likely he's going to be taken care of by WWE and if he admits he has a problem. They won't release him, they will send him to rehab. Jeff is a cashcow and WWE is going to milk him. I just want Jeff to get healthy the body and mind. I hope this is just a slip up. Remember Scott had a slip up too not too long ago. I know/knew addicts, it's a horrible disease that I've known to have killed one person I knew.

They have to get to the point where they want to change and be better. I've seen it first hand many times and most the time they get help but some just don't want to change. That's the sad part. Then some have a hard time and relapse. I agree it is a lifetime battle.

While WWE doesn't normally fire someone over a DUI, you'd have to think Jeff's leash is shorter than most. With his history, I'm sure they're keeping a very close eye on him.

I’m gonna be laughing here when everything is okay and nothing happens to Jeff over this incident. Some of you are heartless mother ers.

I have compassion for those willing to change and trying to change. Not those who go out and put other lives at risk by drink driving. Perhaps they should walk a mile...

I do understand where you are coming from but life has so many grey areas and sides to it. The paths we take are all diffferent and with all the best will in the world good people have ended up in bad places through bad choices. Jeff has been clean for the best part of a decade, he has slipped up and I’m sure the law will have its way with him because of the risks of what he did but a relapse is a relapse. Shouldn’t write people off so casually and be so magnanimous about it, pride comes before a fall. We are all always a few bad choices away from something negative happening.

I know exsctly what you mean. I can assure you though i am definitely not immature. Cold? Maybe, its been said before, i am not one to be too sympathetic, while there is help out there available to people i just can't be too sympathetic. I wouldnt ever be nasty about it, just my views

Haha no, i have a strong will That's not how it works. Science. Learn it. I have the will to not become addicted to addictive substances, i know this because i am not an addict. You have to try something, generally more than once, to become addicted. I wouldnt use something that makes me dependent on it and puts others at risk. Learn that
