What is this from? I'd love to see if there are more pictures 9f that store besides the WWF section! That looks similar to a Lex Luger appearance at a Toy R US that I just saw on the WWe Network. The appearnce/signing is shown briefly in a WWE Hidden Gems video on the Lex Express that runs three hours long.

Old footage inside toy stores is surprisingly hard to find!

I remember Rockers being around for a few years along with Bushwhackers. I remember my mom being upset I bought Rockers (in 1996) from a card show dealer when they were in the stores up until 1994 or so. But I already had them loose and didn't collect to keep on cards until 1996. There's Snuka too on the bottom right shelf.

Not that the Rockers go for a ton or anything right now on ebay but it always cracks me up when I see them go for really anything because all I remember as a kid is them hanging on pegs on clearance at Hills for like $3 and nobody would buy them

Snuka was really hard for me to find, surprised he was still hanging around in 93' at that store.

They are definitely the biggest pegwarmers I've ever seen, followed by BCA Dr. Death and Jacqueline.

Immediate thoughts are damn did Brutus and The Rockers warm...this is potentially that Brutus sitting on those shelves for 3-4 years. Have clear memories of The Rockers warming shelves here in the UK too. God, it brings back such memories. I remember going in to the toy store with my Mum, seeing the first wave. Akeem, Andre...remember it exactly. So vivid. Actually hyping myself up now, just thinking about it.

I remember walking into a Walgreens with some Christmas money i had when I was young. They had Jim Duggan, Piper and Snuka. There was no internet and I was in grade school. I had no idea there was a Snuka figure until that moment. He was the one I bought. One of my best memories of buying a figure. I would love to see pictures of these in stores. I was giddy when I saw Mattel Retros in stores for the first time.

It's crazy to me how densely packed the toy isles are in these photos compared to today. The packaging was smaller and less deep, but there was also almost zero space between pegs. The sheer number of figures they had out compared to what we see today and it's no wonder I never had much trouble finding the figures I wanted as a kid. Today if you don't get there within a day or two of a case being opened there's a good chance you'll never see the figure in store.

Absolutely love this thread. Would be great to see more pictures from retail displays! Problem is, when Hasbro was big in early 1990's, camera phones weren't about like they are today. If only the Retro Series were on shelves like this!

Lol, I'm with you man. If I get my hands on a time machine, I'm buying 2 of each. Possibly 3. Nailz looks money moc. I was able to buy him years later off e bay for $11. One of my favorite figures.
