Call me jaded, but I'm holding my excitement for now. Just because he was cleared doesn't mean Bryan will be automatically installed as the main star that most believed he deserved to be, or that he will be around for years to come. Management didn't keep him at arm's distance from the WWE Title in 2013 (despite being put over by Super Cena himself), overlook him for a top slot at WM at the height of his popularity until extenuating circumstances arose, keep fans in the dark about his injury status for the remainder of 2014, bring him back in early 2015 just to put over Dat Dude and win a midcard title, withhold him from competition while keeping his status secret from fans again, and force him into early retirement for nothing. As stated, his clearance now seems like typical WWE strategy for re-signing talent that they fear will be huge draws for other promotions. It was highly speculated Daniel Bryan's contract was up this year, and he greatly desired to continue his in-ring career elsewhere. The WWE pretty much dangled the carrot to get him back, gave him a slice of what he desired, then he'll likely be back to being what the 'E wants him to be before you know it.

Great news for his fans but I personally don’t care much. my god I thought I was the only one. I can clearly see that Bryan is technically gifted and absolutely loves wrestling so it's really great for him; but he has a boring gimmick and the "yes" chants are just as annoying as the "what" chants. It's laughable to think of 5-star dream matches against Kurt Angle who can't even stand up straight. Nakamura hasn't been motivated since his debut again Sami in NXT two years ago, how can we just assume he and Bryan will light it up? six pages of lovefest is one thing, but once everyone sees how WWE limits Bryan's move-set to a Randy Orton-thrill-level, WF will turn on him soon. All Objective and you're entitled to your opinion but Bryan is far from boring....

I honestly hope he wrestles Dolph Ziggler. I thought myself the bit between them last night felt like that was setting it up.

Anybody else cringe as he did the corner dropkicks and landed on his head multiple times?

I didn't expect him to return for Mania! Hopefully he doesn't injure himself again. Those dropkicks he was doing looked rough. Slow it down man!

After last night, I’d say he’s fully cleared. No way he takes that power bomb if he’s not.

After rewatching that segment though, I'm pretty sure DB has a death wish. I hear so many stories about people coming back from injuries (and have lived through it), and hear how they're hesistant to do certain things for fear of re-injuring or making things worse. Yet, here's DB going balls to the wall and saying forget it, landing on his neck and head like nothing. Sami and Kevin were doing eveyrthing they could to protect him, but DB was acting as if the last 2 years didn't happen.
He needs to tone it down. If he does a suicide dive at Mania, I'm going to stop cheering for him out of concern for his health. I don't want to be one fo the fans who cheered as he literally went out and sought injury.
And, the more I think about it, this is not HBK's return. HBK had a back injury. DB has a brain injury. Two different things with different effects. One can cause a person not to be able to walk, the other can cause a person not to remember his own name and life.
I'm excited he's back, but he needs to ease into it.

Bryan vs. Styles and Bryan vs. Nakamura will be great matches, I am surprised no one has mentioned Bryan vs Miz yet. After that Smackdown Talk promo, that is a definite match I want to see. Agreed. He needs to get a match with Miz after Mix did all that trash talking and what not.

I hope he takes it easy this time and doesn't do too much in his matches. Looking forward to Bryan vs Nakamura somewhere down the line. Heck maybe we'll get the dream match Angle vs Bryan! I have seen this sentiment a lot, not doing much that is, but wouldn't that be a let down to us and himself? No it will prolong his comeback! If you're a fan of his you will want that too instead of wanting him to do unnecessary head dives for the sake of a 5 star match.

That’s the problem with guys like Bryan and Seth etc, they only know 1 speed. The landing after his second corner dropkick looked reckless as hell but it wouldn’t surprise me at all if he injured himself again the same way he did in 2014 and 2015. I’m not much of a fan of his anymore mainly due to reasons Bandalero stated but damn, tone it down a little, no need to bump yourself into a paralytic state 🤦🏽♂️

I would like to see some of you folks's doctor certifications because you seem to think you know better than the top professionals who cleared Bryan. You're not his doctors, stop worrying.

Anybody else cringe as he did the corner dropkicks and landed on his head multiple times? He clearly landed on his side, compared to straight on his back like he used to. Much improved for his own sake.

I’m not much of a fan of his anymore mainly due to reasons Bandalero stated but damn, tone it down a little, no need to bump yourself into a paralytic state 🤦🏽♂️ The way I look at it, DBryan is set for life. There is no one on this planet who is going to not pop for him one way or the other. As a heel or as a face, he's going to get a reaction in the ring. He'll make bank wherever he wrestles. He can go at half speed and no one will fault him for it. It's time he adapts his style so he's not killing himself. He had 2 years to rethink it and all he took away from is "If doing A hurts me, I guess I need to keep doing A". THat's what I don't get about the Cruiserweights. Yes, they can do a 450 splash and do a standing twisting shooting star press with a flip, but what happens when they're too broken down. Is anyone going to go to an indy show to see them if they're only known for their ability to contort their body as they fall from heights? They need characters and need to adapt their moveset. Bryan needs to do the same. Take the freaking headbutt out of the moveset. Take the corner dropkicks out. For Pete's sake, DB, you're already copying most of the moves a Canadian was known for. Even your finish is similar. Let that be all the similarities and don't mess up your brain anymore than it has. Oh and when you snap a German Suplex, maybe given your condition you don't do it so that they almost land on your head. I'm genuinely concerned that he is going to hurt himself. When I made this post, I (wrongly) assumed he thought things through and wanted to make some changes. WRONGO. I regret getting excited over this. If he continues his path, he will be hurt. Again, I reiterate, this is not like HBKs comeback. THat was a pure physical thing. The Brain is much different. We don't know the long term effects his concussions have given him other than to look at examples of other athletes. Will it result in the same dementia that other football players had? Maybe. So he needs to do something to minimize the probability.

Daniels moveset isn’t what people popped for. It was his general story and his charisma. He doesn’t need to do high risk moves for people to cheer for him.
